I'm not mad at this. It would be a big gamble but too good to pass up. If PG walks we still have our 2019 pick and possibly the Lakers pick to rebuild with.

I'd imagine it would take AG + Vuc + 2017 pick + Future pick to snag PG. Say we do pull off a DJ + Green for RJ and Baynes swap. Sign Milsap to show PG we're serious about winning. Use the Clipper pick on a big to mold behind Milsap. We still have the flexibility to make a move down the line if we don't get off to a good enough start. Fournier Payton and Hezonja are solid trade chips. I like this team tho.

Jackson/Payton/Rookie
Ross/Fournier/Wilcox
George/Hezonja/Rookie
Milsap/Baynes/Hartenstien
Biyombo/FA/Zimmerman

I'm shocked that after all this failure of cashing in assets for things that were reach from gates , people still want to make a moves that only make team better short term, and in reality that lead to 6# seed at best.

Why da F would you want to trade away top 3 pick this year to get injuried, not so great when he is healthy Jackson? Dude is definition of average starter on his position. He is better than Payton but on greater scale it really doesn't say much. And there is reason why SVG wants to trade him anyway. That dude knows what he is doing, unlike Rob.
This years draft has some really nice players that can be stars and who can be better players than Jackson.

You won't get Paul George, Vogel got fired because he wanted George to play PF, and George in public basically said- he won't.
Milsap was good player to target in FA 3 years ago. Today he is 32 years old. No thank you.

Magic should : hold on pick, draft PG , let Payton start and rookie play off bench, in mean time find a trade partner for Vučević to get another younger player at wing or actually two way center and build from a ground. This team is too bad to cash in anything. They ruined one rebuild by trading assets for top 50 protected lottery picks , let's not be braindead again.

read it again. He said #3 in package for PG as in Paul George.

Bird wanted PG to play pf., not vogel. PG loves Vogel and it s mutual.
If PG doesn't agree to an extention Indiana will end up in same situation as we were with D12.

As a Magic fan, I generally have an inferiority complex as a destination for players, but I remember David West, who's regarded very highly by players around the league, left Indiana and publicly denounced the way their FO handled their guys. I think it may have been related specifically to Hibbert...in any case, it's not inconceivable that PG might care more for Vogel than for Bird and Indiana when all is said and done. Not holding my breath, but certainly processing possibilities in my head, if I'm Hennigan

If I got word of any interest of a Paul George / Vogel reunion...I'd throw everything at him...Evan, Gordon, and our 1st

Whole idea that George is being shopped around is based on joke from basketball insiders.
"3 days ago – via Basketball Insiders
League sources sort of joked at the idea of either Chicago guard Jimmy Butler or Pacers forward Paul George being obtainable in trade at the deadline, saying “You can always call, every team answers the phone during the All-Star break.”"

Other reporst about his trade :

2 months ago – via ESPN

Larry Bird isn’t returning calls on Paul George with a friendly new CBA on the way, according to teams who have inquired. Russell Westbrook is off the market. Pulling any trade before the Lakers know if they have a pick near the top of a loaded draft feels reckless.
2 months ago – via HoopsHype

There’s basically no chance the Pacers trade Paul George, Adrian Wojnarowski said in his latest podcast for The Vertical: “I know teams have been calling Indiana and asking about Paul George and the answer is absolutely, positively no (to a trade). ‘He’s not available, there’s no conversation to be had, don’t even make offers to us. We’re not moving Paul George.'”

People should at least read rumors before they actually talk about them.

The Orlando Magic earlier this season turned down an offer from the Sacramento Kings to acquire DeMarcus Cousins in exchange for Nikola Vucevic and either Evan Fournier or draft picks, according to Bleacher Report.

Magic general manager Rob Hennigan “apparently was concerned about both his ability to re-sign Cousins this summer and building the franchise around yet another high maintenance big man,” the report said.

I call "fake news". If the Kings wanted to trade Boogie he would have been by now and to a team that could put together a better package than we could offer.

I'd call it "incomplete and misleading news". I don't think it's crazy that we turned down an offer for Cousins....I just think a hell of a lot more was being asked for than Vuc & Fournier.

Winning wont give you that hahahahahah
Remember when we had a winning team?
Each deadline we hoped for any move ....QQ plz Otis make a deal... even a minor for a 13th guy off the bench :x

But if it was asked then contrary to what people say ( that we dont have enough assets and boston got all the assets of the world) it means WE GOT WHAT THEY WANT.

I just think Sacramento called everyone in the league and tried to take every asset possible in exchange for Cousins...everyone just shot them down.

I'd be surprised if they maxed jrue... their perimeter players have been sidelined with major injuries for years. Jrue, gordon, tyreke, pondexter, lance... J

ofc it is a problem Gut yourslef to the bone and Be left with Cousins and no other players and then he leaves cause he dont have any help...

still
Id still do
Vuc+Fournier+Hezonja+pick Preferably next year one not this ...
but ofc no deal if they wanted lets say 3 or so consecutive picks...(not sure if its even allowed)You would have to bank on some major player wanting to join forces with Cousins in the summer after gutting we would have some of cap space but there are no realistic major players on the FA market aside of Hayward I guess+ maybe throw money at Holiday
Unfortunatelly I see us taking back Afflalo in a deal also due to match salaries.fournier and Cousins salaries cancel each other out but then theres Vuc and Mario who I include cuz of relationship with Divac.Would have too trade Bismack for expiriing too I guess to clear more capspace.

Payton
Afflalo
Ross
Gordon
Cousins

thats still ugly ass hell thats again a 30+ win team unless the mystical never happening breakout year of young ones

or a fairy tale lineup
Holiday
Ross
Hayward
Gordon
Cousins :D

that could make some noise but its not amazing either
