No particular scenarios, but if we can ask for anybody and they'll go get them, then there are a lot of players I'd like to see on the team.

Westbrook, Harden, Ibaka, Al Jefferson are the main ones that spring to mind. Not all of them, obviously, but at least 2 of them. And I'd like to keep their draft pick too.

I'd love for NJ to go out and trade guys like Morrow and Farmar for more picks. Even if they are 2nd rounders. I'd really only want Lopez, Brooks, and Humphries with as many picks as possible from NJ. And dump J Rich, BBD, and Duhon with D12. I'd send out Turk as well if I could, but I am pretty sure that is too much salary for even the Nets to take back. I do not feel like doing the math right now

i would tell nj to go get us 1 of these players: batum, dorell wright, jeff green, beasley? or see how valuable derrick williams is to minny, wilson chandler. We need a young talented sf after we send turk to nj. Then bring fran over next season to strengthen our frontline and draft a pg.

i also think we should look to move jj for a draft pick bc he will be due for another deal. we can keep von for much cheaper for the next 2 years. maybe send redick and nj 1st to minny for williams.

you do realize how trades work right? Lopez and Brooks are on rookie contracts, thus not paid much. NJ cant take in all that salary without sending some back. It would be more realistic to take Morrow and Farmar and trade them ourselves. Otherwise there is no way any combo of BBD, JRich, Duhon or Turk could be moved.

im amazed every day at the way people over rate JJ here. JJ is smart player, but when the best thing about a player you can say is his BBIQ, that should tell you something. JJ is a good player, but a role playing, 7th man on any winning roster. He cant defend most starting SG's, cant drive to the basket when Dwight isnt on the floor demanding more attention.

Certainly, not our money and not in luxury with them. No reason to cut them. Stan said so himself. Just posted the date and time for cuts to keep an eye out for.

I do realize how trades work. I assumed I did not have to retype every player. Plus if NJ was to move guys like Marrow and Farmar for picks they are 6 mill under the cap. Plus Lopez, Brooks, and Humphries contract gives them the ability to absorb about $25 million with the 125% rule. You throw Okur into that and its even higher.

I said I didn't feel like doing math. But the jist of what I was saying is get a 3rd or 4th team involved to absorb other players for picks if possible. I'd have no interest at keeping anyone not named Brooks and Lopez. Kris is not worth $8 mill per but I'd take him to sign and trade him.

I assumed everyone on this board knew the rules and I could just be brief.

That is not accurate. We can send at least Baby and JRich (and possibly Duhon/or Q) along with Dwight for Lopez, Brooks and the big expirings (Okur 10.9+Humphries 8.0+Stevenson 2.5 or James 1.2).

Thanks for pointing that out. Just read it. And I love it! One of his best friends calling him out for handling this poorly, I do not think Dwight will take this well.

I lost a lot of respect for Dwight with the way he handled this but I honestly see him remaining on the Magic for this year and next.

The way Dwight is handling all this imo can be attributed to his agent...I think Dwight is just following orders from his Agent/Pr on what to say and when to say it....I mean all he could of done is just make a trade request and then from there keep his mouth shut until you cross that bridge.....But it seems like every other week Dwight says something just to keep the trade talks going....

i think all this has his Agent written all over it because think about it.....If Dwight was as conscious of his image was we're led to believe then he wouldn't handle it the way he has been because he's losing respect not only from players and fans but the media as well.......I may be wrong but if this is the case i don't understand how Dwight can let his agent lead him down this path in this way....Dwight is doing/saying things that doesn't match his character...i'm sensing a lot of cloak and dagger stuff going on here

Here’s a sampling of some of the Magic players’ picks to win the Super Bowl: J.J. Redick and Ish Smith picked the New York Giants, while Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, Chris Duhon and DeAndre Liggins picked the New England Patriots.

Omigod! Dwight doesn't like New York, he wants to go to Boston!

True in a sense but to be fair from what i remember Bosh pretty much kept his mouth shut until he was a legit free agent....he didn't let his impending free agent status hang over the team while he was still under contract...Far cry from what Dwight is doing now

Return to Orlando Magic
