I find it hard to believe that NY will allow Mr. Cash Cow himself to walk, PP contract or not. He is a marketing beast and wouldn't really kill the budget until two years from now. By then it allows the Knicks to shed some deadweight salary (Amare or Chandler?) to keep them from being uber-taxed.

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
The Knicks may still match Jeremy Lin's offer. The Raymond Felton acquisition was unexpected, but Lin returning is still a possibility.

ClutchFans.com blogger had an interesting theory that makes some sense...
David Weiner ‏@BimaThug
Have theory on why NYK ducked HOU's offer sheet for Lin today: once they accept it, Lin's cap hold dramatically increases on their books...

David Weiner ‏@BimaThug
...If increased cap hold took Knicks over luxury tax apron ($74M), they probably couldn't make Felton trade under cap rules...

David Weiner ‏@BimaThug
"Nontaxpayers" (NYK before Lin offer sheet acceptance) can trade for 150% of outgoing salary; taxpayers can only get back 125%.

I'm not sure what Kidd got in FA, but Felton is rumored to be getting $10 mill/3 yr.

I assume Kidd will mentor both Felton and Lin if Lin returns to NY. Doesn't seem wise to have that much money locked up in 3 point guards, one of which may not play. Perhaps Kidd is insurance in case Lin or Felton gets injured.

Agreed.

Some Wall street analysts have predicted he could be worth as much as 300million to the Knicks in domestic and international markets.

I want Jeremy Lamb so bad right now. What a performance.

He may be laconic, and have an easy going appearance, but the boy can flat out play.

Jeremy Lamb is the best piece being offered so far. I will be content with him and Nicholson on our rebuild.

Lamb definitely looks legit.

I'm not extremely high on Parsons. I think he's a nice role player but I don't see him making much more of an impact in the league than he already has.

That's what I've been saying. Still think we get 2 more first round picks though. Parsons and Lamb on the wings could make this season so much more fun even though we'd be losing.

ive really liked what ive seen of lamb these 2 games( i realize is 2 summer league games). id be happy with lamb, parsons, jones, toronto pick, dallas pick, and their pick and i guess kmart for salary reasons for dwight jrich and if they will duhon. lamb is someone who can help a championship team going forward. i could careless for all their other prospects like morris patterson white to some extent and whoever else they have on their roster right now

I feel like we could have had both Lamb and Jones before these summer league games. Now Houston is probably having a difficult time letting go of even 1 of them.

PS: White sucks.

Parsons needs to get his 3pt% up around 38%. I think that would help him a lot. Be one of those "3 and D" players.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.
