Even if his ceiling is Jameer, absolutely. The goal of the draft is to pick the cream out of the crop. Even if the top pick doesn't become a perennial all-star or superstar, if we get the best player available, I'd be satisfied.

I just want a player that is a legit starter on a playoff caliber team. I don't want someone who is more likely to be a bust like Noel. I can't fathom why people are not scared of drafting him. Dude that skinny and fragile won't last in the NBA.

What I said was my own personal opinion, I don't remember insulting you or anyone else. I expect the same treatment in return. I assume we're all adults. Good day.

If you think "I'm glad you're not the gm" is a insult, then maybe you shouldn't be online on a message board. But then again someone who corrects grammar shouldn't be on a message board anyways.

Whoa! Burn on me! Ouch lol don't be mad because you've shown yourself to be an ignorant person. If you think me correcting typing errors is bad, think about how bad it feels to be the one making them.

Lol still not over your declarations in your first rebuttal to me.

Your assessment of Burke shows me your nothing but a casual fan who doesn't know jack about basketball. Maybe you should become a Heat or Laker fan since your just a casual fan anyways, leave this Magic board for real fans.

Btw, when I said that I think Burke could go number 1, I meant for us, not any other team. If you look at what we need right now, it's a leader and scorer after Nelson and/or Afflalo are moved (assuming we continue on the youth movement pattern).

Harris, Harkless and Vucevic are most likely going to handle most of the scoring (if Nelson/Afflalo ate moved), but we'll still need a young PG to mold into being a starter at some point. Obviously Udrih and Moore aren't good enough. My first choice like many others was Marcus Smart, but now since we don't have that luxury Burke is the best available.

Noel is a risk (in my opinion) and McLemore seems good but he seems like a one trick pony (again, my own opinion). Burke, TO ME, seems like the safest choice among the top 5. I also like Oladipo but he's not much of a creator.

Lol! I've played basketball in middle school, AAU, and Varsity in HS, which is more than you could probably claim. I spend my free time watching NBA, NCAA, FIBA hoops as well as BallIsLife and HoopMixtape online watching out for all the prospects. Don't tell me that idk about basketball, this sport is a big part of my life. You sir, are pretty much a troll who obviously has gotten it's feelings hurt. Maybe YOU should be a Heat or Laker fan, you make just about as much sense in your rebuttals and reasonings as they do lol.

I've been a Magic fan since '93 and I can prove it. Can you? Please don't claim yourself a "real" fan. It's a mockery.

i feel like it should be burke because i think that we need someone at the head of the snake and honestly is Jameer still going to be playing at a decent level 2-4 years from now when we are ready to make some noise? maybe, maybe not. Get Burke and have him groom under jameer and grow along with the young guys learning where they like the ball and their tendencies.

Burke would have some great targets to work with in the pick and roll imo and in fast break situations. You have Vuc who can turn into a great pick and pop/roll guy with great range and also a burgeoning post game down low. Nicholson who can score anywhere on the floor that includes 3pt range as well as the post. Tobias who can also score from anywhere and is great in fastbreak situations. Harkless who is a decent finisher at the rim and can dunk on you if he has a step. I think Burke would fit nicely with this young group of guys imo

I like Trey Burke, but if I was the Magic, I'd pick Noel and trade for a late 1st round pick and grab Schroeder with that pick. Could be the next Tony Parker. Great young guard who I'd love to have on the Celtics :D

Lots of scenarios to consider, but one I like is where we acquire a mid-first round pick and draft Gorgui Dieng. He's obviously not the shot blocking machine that Noel is, but he's still a good defender to put next to Vucevic when playing against big lineups. And I think he has better potential on the offensive side of the ball than Noel. I wouldn't mind drafting Noel, but I think Burke and McLemore will have a bigger impact in the league. And I have a feeling that we're going to be playing a lot of Tobias Harris at the 4. Drafting someone in the top 3 to play less minutes than Tobias just wouldn't make sense. If that's the case, fill that need of a defensive low-post force with a later pick.

Him and Trey Burke would also be pretty good.

He also might be 28 years old.

You two are both acting like children, it is a team forum and your opinions are just that, your opinions. Relax let people speak their minds about such and such player and move on lets act like adults.

Don't blame me, I didn't start this mess. Do you think I'm stupid? I know this is a team forum, I always remember to say "In my opinion", "personally", "just my thoughts", etc.

Who are you to come around here and scold me? You're no better than I am nor are you of any higher rank or respect than me other than more posts. Don't interrupt my quarrel with him and have the nerve to tell me I'm acting like a child with an avatar like yours. Mind YOUR own business amigo. I don't have anything against you nor would I like to continue arguing with people. Leave me alone.

My reaction to the past two pages or so of this "fight" (also shoutout to The Wire, Top 3 TV show of all time):

I'm confused now. Maybe we should just pass.
