Well in their defense, they don't know anything about Dipo like we do. They just know what the scouts were saying before the draft (that he couldn't shoot etc). Every jumper he took was way short last night, that to me is a sign of fatigue. We know he can shoot because we know him. I don't however like condescending way he said it, implying there is no way he will ever shot well. Seems like a lot of the former great players have that attitude when they are commenting. Well, should I say commenting, because what he did last nite was blabber non coherent non-sense.

Fair, although presumably their (commentators) job is to know the opponents. Keeping tabs on the #2 pick in the draft doesn't seem like it would be that hard. Especially considering he is likely our best player.

Anybody else seeing the report about the Pistons being unlikely to sign Greg Monroe to an extension? By doing that he will become a restricted free agent. Anybody think Hennigan might consider pitching an offer to him?

I dont think so, there is no doubt about his talent but hes a terrible fit next to vucevic and the fact that his numbers went down after a strong sophmore year is alarming.

I don't know. I think Monroe wouldn't be terrible next to Vuc. Why do you think so? Do you not think Monroe can play PF and only C?

I don't think it would be a good fit either. Monroe is more of a short center than a PF imo, plus the biggest reason. The guy is a horrible defender, I think Vuc needs a PF who is defensive minded.

I think the Pistons are pulling the same move that the Hawks pulled on Josh Smith after his rookie deal. Basically, your agent is saying you're worth 12, we think you're worth 8. Go shop yourself around and then when the best offer is for 9, we will gladly match.

Like vucevic, I think monroe is a better center than pf, so i'm not sure they'd be the greatest fit together. Also, Monroe is awful at defense. He's probably not available to us anyway... he's a RFA after all. Pistons will probably match or he'll cost more than we're willing to pay.

Monroe will play well because he's next to Drummond. IMO he and vucci would be awful together. We might as well just start Nicholson and save the $ if we want a PF who can score and defend very average.

Monroe is a pretty good player....but I wouldn't want him for us
