Add that to KOC saying not all execs think Jabari is a lock during a spaces (?) session last week, and it makes you go hmmm.

Add Vegas odds changing.

The snippets this week on Givony, Vecenie, Ringer, and SI mocks will be interesting.

Bill Simmons might rub some the wrong way, but he's in the know on some things. He mentioned he thinks Holmgren goes #1 in his pod today.

The Ringer just put Jabari #1 for the first time today. Kevin O'Connor says our front office likes Chet but all the signs point to taking Jabari. So it sounds like he spoke to someone with inside info.

If USA Today and CBS change to put Jabari #1 he'll be the consensus pick.

Simmons & Russillo are great for sneaky draft intel. He's also a Vegas bettor, so he follows trends.

Can we just do

#1 & whoever’s needed to make salaries match

FOR

#3 & Kevin Porter Jr

I want Paolo but not with #1

And I also will be happy with Andrew Nicholson as an assistant coach, that way he can teach WCJ and whoever else how to take people for a ride in the torture chamber

I have no doubt Chet is very much in play. I fully buy into the idea that Jabari is the safe choice and Chet is the dream they hope can walk in and erase concerns. Meanwhile, I don’t see Paolo as a guy who impresses WeHam on the same level.

So Jabari is probably the filler #1 Big Board name with Chet being the one name they have waiting to see.

No idea.

But I always enjoy hearing what scouts and execs say about draftees and the process.

I see Jabari and Paolo as having a similar ceiling but Jabari with a higher floor. I see Chet having a higher ceiling than both Jabari and Paolo but a lower floor than both as well. I see Ivey as having a higher floor than Chet but a lower floor than the other two and much lower ceiling than all three.

Keegan Murray interests me, to me he is like a Tobias clone. I also like Johnny Davis.

I think we take Jabari on draft night.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

can't see how.

Banchero has flaws, but if his shot selection is not terrible and can pull-up at 36-37% from three, gaining space for his first step, would be already a superior offensive player jabari smith would ever be.

he is crafty, can handle the ball for his size and, most important, there is potential as a shot creator with those flashes about his passing.

jabari...can shoot,shoot a lot of 3s and then...shoot other 3s.

Banchero has a lower ceiling imho, there is a fair chance he is a 2.08 m Cole Anthony, but there is also a decent chance he could be crafty enough to be a +20 points efficient scorer with good passing ability.

I verbally laugh out loud when I read major basketball websites cite Bamba as the reason we will pass up on Chet and take Jabari.

The idea that Bamba would factor into our selection at one is just asinine. If he does, then Weltman should be fired this very second before he gets the chance to make it.

Bol Bol is a better comparison than Bamba.

It’s not the comparison that bothers me. It’s that media outlets think he is a crucial core piece for us and is important/good enough for us to pass on somebody at 1 because there’s a chance we may resign him.

He’s just not.

Didn’t Bol also have motor/motivation questions? Chet doesn’t have those
