Guys sorry to bring bad news, but Dwight is gone. Look I have been watching this whole thing go down and now seeing Otis say its 50-50, 4 days left, only means, they are trying to get the best offer they can. You would not say 50-50 if Dwight was leaning toward staying.

This is good news! That means Dwight is staying! Martins basically said if there is even a small percentage that Dwight would stay, they will keep him. Martins word means a helluva lot more than Otis. 50/50 is better than a small percentage!

I am sure Hornets would have taken JJ, Ryno and Gortat for CP3 fo sho.

except that at 12-15 mpg, his value wouldnt be as high as it is right now with him a good, full-time starter

True. But, I am sure it would be decent enough to at least flip.

so it is written, so shall it be.

oh wait, you dont know more than anyone else on here. 50-50 he stays huh? better than initially saying he wanted to be traded to 3 teams and considering orlando as a 4th, that was only 25%.

I'll give Otis crap for his FA deals until the day I die. But I will not give him crap for any of the trades he made. Every single trade was to improve the team. In hindsight they didn't always work out, but everyone is overrating Gortat's value. It would never get higher since he was backing up Dwight and playing only 10-15 mpg.

But at the time all those trades made sense. JRich was averaging 19ppg!!! And it was the pitiful offense that led to those December trades.

I am with you 100% that everyone is overrating Gortat's value when he was on the Magic. My problem lies with Turk. You don't not pay a guy after being a key piece in a finals run, then tell another team (Portland) you dodged a bullet by him taking Toronto's deal, then watch him get booed out of Toronto, struggle in Phoenix, and then give up VC's partially guaranteed contract, along with Gortat, and a 1st for what pretty much amounts to Hedo (2 years older) on a toxic contract that you initially wanted no part of, an average 30 year old sg, and Earl the overrated Pearl Clark. Rationalizing that enough to make such a deal is mind boggling!

The point of any trade is to improve the team, doesn't justify them being horrible.

Loss to the Pacers tonight = Dwight being traded.

Win against the Pacers tonight = Nash + Smith.

I thought Ariza for Cook was pre-Otis. That was bad.
Lewis for Arenas wasn't bad IMO. It was a risk but opened the door for Ryno's playing time. Either way, they were going to be amnestied. Only hurt Devos's wallet.
Bass for Baby wasn't a bad a trade at the time. He's much better than Bass defensively. It's just the contract for baby was AWFUL.

Did you guys know that Anthony Davis is averaging close to 5 blocks per game ? That's crazy ! Imagine the Nets getting the N#1 pick in the draft. A team of Deron-Marshon-Anyone-Davis-Howard is crazy good.

My fear is that Otis will look at our record and say we're not doing too bad....no need to blow it up....i really like this team........

I believe he's thinking that
