really?

CP3/Schroeder
Shai/Ferguson
Gallinari/
Muscala/Patterson
Adams / Noel

their PF situation is weak but that actually looks like a more balanced team than last years okc...at least to me

YES REALLY, All those guys are in the NBA for a reason blah blah blah. But there's no star player on that team now in the very competitive western conference. The only teams that will be in their neighborhood is the Knicks and the Suns and both those teams will have a better record than OKC.

Thank god we dodged that Westbrook bullet.

In the word's of Otis Smith "fools gold".... we would have mortgaged our future, lost some young assets and still wouldn't be favorites to come out of the East.

They're probably hoping to get a high lottery pick. How many picks they got next year 5?

a) Holy crap!

b) The Thunder will be a major trade partner over the next 5-years. A team cannot absorb 2-3 rookies every year for five years. These impressive assets will be flipped, probably for expiring with subsequent increases in even future draft selections. (example: let's say the 2023 Heat pick is at 16; I could see the Thunder trading for Russell in 2021 for this pick, whilst also gaining a future Warriors pick, say in 2027).

These are gifts that will give for a long, long time. This might be the smartest rebuild ever.

Took me 10 min to even get all the data for picks and re-write them

but yea, you are right, they will be major "dieler" , they can, if they want, in future cash them all in for instant contender

What a fun off season it’s been! From the super team league to dynamic duos in the west. I am happy with our standing in this new league. No superstars yet but a cohesive unit with depth and youth and good coaching.

CP3 is still a formidable player but even I can’t justify a deal for the Magic...and you know I’m an optimistic ORL fan

More balanced, but worse, basically they traded Westbrook and PG for CP3 and Galinari.

and Shai + 7 first round picks and 4 pick swaps + $47m in cap savings (1 year less)....probably a low to mid 40's win 1st round team

Yes, I forgot about Shai, but the team depth for next season is worse, that's what I meant. Long-term it seems very good indeed.

Spotrac.com updates their stuff almost immediately.

Does anyone have Westbrook on their fantasy basketball team?

Anybody that drafted Westbrook before the trade thinking Westbrook is on OKC, Westbrook's usage rate would have been higher on OKC than Houston. Westbrook was ranked 11th ranked last year in Usage rate and James Harden was #1 overall. James Harden may still be #1 player in the NBA in usage rate but Westbrook is going to drop off from #11 overall usage rate. Now as of today I don't think Westbrook should be a top 15 overall pick in a fantasy basketball draft but he definitely should still go between 15-20 overall. If you have the #1 overall pick, You should seriously consider drafting Harden with the #1 overall pick and if you have the #2 overall pick and Giannis is off the board, You have to take Harden #2 overall pick.

I drafted my max 25 teams on ESPN and I don't have Westbrook on any teams but I do have Harden on several teams. If you have Westbrook, you might want to see if you get a trade for him.

Yeah he's got a lot of money left how many more years are on that contract? No point in tying up all that money for a guy who'll go down as one of the best PGs but is on the downhill slope big time.

They save $47.1 million dollars and got 2 first round picks + 2 pick swaps

Last season CP3 was an effective 16p/8a/5r guy who shot 36% from 3PT range at high volume. That was deferring a lot to Harden. His contract sucks but he's still pretty good.

CP3/Schroeder
Shai/Ferguson
Gallinari/
Muscala/Patterson
Adams / Noel

that actually looks like a more balanced team able to score in a much more diverse attack than last years okc

Eh, looks like a bunch of spare parts to me. CP3 was OK last year but he's obviously getting worse, plus hes been a jerk on contending teams so its not looking good for his new teammates once they start struggling.
