So, the Knicks now have Kidd and Felton as their PG's. Does it make sense to match Lin with these guys on their roster. Sure, Kidd and Felton are backup options right now, but do you really think Felton would agree to a sign and trade knowing Lin would be back. I think Lin signing with Houston only increases our chances to land a better deal with Houston. The Rockets fully expected Lin to be matched and made a lowball offer (reportedly) to Orlando. With a starting PG and a ton of cap space in '13, I would expect the Houston offer to be a lot better than 1 rook/1expiring/1-2 bad contracts.

From what I understand, cap wise, the deal can still be done with Houston. We may lose out on sending all our bad contracts to Houston, but the Rockets may be more desperate for Dwight nnow that they have a legitimate PG, so getting a better deal should be possible.

I loved Wayns, but think his departure for GS signaled the end of us competing for him. Otherwise, I have loved watching Lamb, Jones, and Parsons thus far in Summer League. Lamb has star potential and Jones is very intriguing as a 2-3 option in the future. I have to believe we get a true center to start the season though. I understand this will be a tanking season, but BBD is not a starting center. Maybe bring back Darko or sign another big to a veteran min?

Rockets have about 8 Mil in contracts outside of Kmart, asik,Lin. Add 16.6 for asik and Lin, you're at 24.4. That gives them 34 mil to work with plus their mle. So d12/hedo/jrich/duhon is 40 mil, wont work, but d12/hero/duhon or d12/jrich/bbd would too. Many options.

3. Get into some deal if hedo or jason still here.

I'm not terribly worried about shipping out Hedo and Duhon since their contracts are not fully guaranteed in 2013, but it would be nice to get JRich and BBD out. I like BBD, but he just wouldn't fit in to the rebuilding effort. My biigest concern, if I were Hennigan, is to make sure we get Jones, Lee (expiring), Lamb, and at least 2 draft picks (Raptors) in exchange for Dwight, JRich, and BBD. Parsons and/or White would be a bonus, but I am not that high on White. Watching his in summer league, he seems like he can pass very well and play decent defense, but doesn't do anything else really well.
