Howard Mass wrote:Osby looks pretty good. I did not get to watch him as much but after the pick of Kyle O'Quinn last year, I think Rob Hennigan has earned some second round credibility.
No doubt. I've got complete trust in Hennigan.
But this is also the first year he can really be fairly measured against the rest of the league. He had the 2nd best chance to land the best talent in the draft. If he hasn't done that, then he's gonna lose some of his sheen.

A bigger guy, who is capable of knocking down some jump shots....Tough rebounder when I watched.
Like I said though. Only watched about 3 games, he was leading scorer, but he didnt jump off the screen or anything. Was their best player, but they were no powerhouse.
What do u expect from a late 2 round pick a lot of people are bashing Henny for taking these high character guys who are gonna come in day one and work there ass off and get every bit of potential out of themselves when did hard work become such an ignored trait
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Jesus... At some point you've gotta add talent, as well. Denver showed that. San Antonio showed that. You need guys who can carry a team.
Still... This team is gonna have a fantastic attitude. Has me concerned they'll play so hard they play us out of a top pick next year!
Agree, we're well past full of high character guys. Hopefully 2014 that guys comes along and he's got a great crew to come into.

I dont see why he won't make the team. It seems like people forget there is a lot left to the offseason and trades can happen. Lots of stuff can happen from now until the start of the season, and I hope Osby is another hard worker like O'Quinn and makes this team.

Noonskadoodle wrote:There goes Zo Brown.....At 52 like Bilas said, one HELL of a value pick at the PG spot, a 6 foot 5 PG who led one of the best conferences in the ACC in assists??? I would have signed up for that over Osby.
LEAD THE ACC IN ASSISTS IN JUST YOUR SECOND SEASON EVER PLAYING THE PG POSITION?
Sign me up man.
Yeah, I'd have given him a look in. Oh well, hopefully there's a bigger picture.

I may have spoken too soon, I am not feeling the draft right now, but I'll come along. Apparently, Orlando had Osby as their pick for a few days, and Kyler and Kennedy have know for a few days.

Thats fine though....but him working his ass off, how far is that gonna go? Bashing Henny? I would NEVER bash Henny, I respect him WAY TOO MUCH.
Osby is a rotation player going forward at the most.
& that as a chance at being an asset going forward.

Hope Kabongo goes undrafted and we invite him. Damn Mcdermott is probably thinking "WTF?"

I'd assume the next order of business is to buy out Hedo and Al.
I think it will be a relatively exciting summer.
We're not done making moves.

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 10m
I spent a lot of time with Romero Osby while he was training. Amazing work ethic, incredible motor and the nicest guy. Great leader as well.
Wow sounds like a good guy its not all about talent you need smart hardworking players to build a culture love this pick
