AB’s biggest adversary is now the team’s cap situation…he simply can’t get paid what he’d hope for without a MAJOR leap. ORL is now deep and talented in the backcourt while money is VERY tight. Imo, he must make someone else (Suggs?) expendable to secure an extension of any significance. As a selfish fan, I hope he takes a modest extension and finds his groove AFTER negotiations. I love having him, but just like Isaac, he’s on thin ice if the rookies provide enough (inexpensive) contributions. I’m a big fan of Isaac and AB as long, versatile defenders off the bench but if they don’t step up on the other end they’ll likely be cap casualties.

I think AB gets a mid level type deal, and I expect the Magic not to pick up Jett's extension.
