More like, now that the draft is over, every team can turn their attention off the draft and onto other deals. So Otis who once had the ear of the NOR brass, now has to compete with everyone else for attention. Our window is shut. We aimed for Paul... should've aimed for Collison. Now we get neither.

Well I have buddy who works with Magic front office back in 2006-2007 Mark Bryant was one of Magic assistant coaches. Bryant is still intouch some of the members this was story he told me, everyone seemed to get offended when I told him about Jameer disrespecting OTIS, I decided to share my info with you guys but you didn't appreciate the efforts. As for the big trade that is set to go down, its going to be at least a week before we see that, reason being the Miami Heat recent trade has allowed them to sign 3 Max Players. Otis will keep a close eye on Heat because we have to match up with them, no reason to make moves if heat have a better roster right. Only no brainer trade right now is CP3, but he prefers to play with LBJ which is why Cavs are trying to trade Mo Williams..

I never said i believed Rev, or in this case you, rumors are just that, rumors. But i had never seen yuou around this parts, and Rev has been Do i hope these are true? You bet you ass i do! BTW i do appreciate you guys feeding us what you know, dont get me wrong. Now theres one thing that doesnt make sense, Otis is holding on the CP3 trade bc he is waiting to see what Miami is doing, obviosuly Miami will be STACKED, no brainer, but at the same time he is playing w Lebron? While Miami deals and wheels? Heck Lebron is a huge pipe dream, at this point, even if still still a pipe dream, CP3 would be a more "realistic" option, if the deal is there... Anyhow... Back to lurking.

As I said, things are locking up. Otis is doing everything he can to prevent details leaking out. In fact, he's leaking false info to the media to throw the league off the trail. However, Magical has some great friends who provided these salient points:

THE CHRIS PAUL DEAL IS NOT DEAD.

In fact, far from it. Will it happen? Don't know. As he put it, "pieces are definitely agreed upon" but there are other offers lurking. And yes, Jameer is involved in the offer. Otis hates that, but knows it is Chris Freaking Paul. And hopefully Meer won't take it too personally (nor Dwight, for that matter). This is still the absolute top priority.

Meanwhile, there are other things being bandied about. I'll just toss the same old names out there: Amare (helped big time by the new GM), Bosh, Boozer, Gay and yes, even LeBron (Wade wasn't mentioned). Don't know specifics, but if Jameer is on the table, that's a pretty good indication how serious he is. Ball Junkie is right on one thing: Otis loves Jameer. But guess what - he loves winning more.

Point is, Otis is being SUPER aggressive and will not walk away empty handed. So be patient and ride this thing out.

Rev, thanks for all the info. Just a clarification question - did you mean the Magic have other offers on the table? Or that the Hornets have (possibly) better offers for CP3?
