Wouldn't worry too much. Yesterday or two days ago it seemed pretty certain that CP was going to GS. Still, that rumor isn't good news and Houston and NOLA would be dumb to do that.

I could understand getting Gasol and Okafor and keeping Kmart cause that's a pretty good team. but to trade away Kmart and Scola for Gasol is inconceivable.

Another thing too... Butler is a really good player (even though he's 30), borderline all-star (I think he has made the all-star team before)... does this make the Clippers more prone to offering Gordon in their trade package for CP3 or Dwight? Just curious

That basically eats up their cap room for next summer - $8m a year on Caron, the $8m a year they've offered DeAndre Jordan, Eric Gordon will be a free agent next summer and will almost certainly get $10m+. Good news for us.

Same here... you would think Houston at least ask for Bynum or someone

Also, I think our roster isn't going to look much different on opening night than it does now. We don't have trade assets, nobody wants to play here because of Dwight having one foot out the door.

We'll probably roll with a Dwight/Bass/Hedo/Redick/Jameer opening lineup. Which is trash.

Does anyone else think that the hornets might be spreading rumors about a done deal with the lakers just to levrage into a better deal with the clippers?

I mean, for the clippers, paul going to their rival is possibly my worst case scenario so if the only alternative is to trade gordon in order to aquire paul, than it seems like a much better idea than to watch the lakers get another series of rings.

I dont know, the last thing the hornets want to do is get back to no man's land and with an addiotion of scola and marting thats exactly where they will end up, so thats gotta be the worst trade possible for them.

Could be a possible smokescreen... we all know the Magic have done something like that before

I wish I was a journalist so I could post troll deals like that one and get the entire internet to freak out.

Hmm... now I'm starting to sense a smokescreen after the dust (and anger lol) settles
