On Ping's "Rumor".

We already knew The Nets offer and I expect if it happens, more picks will be included.

The Magic would get at least two mid-first rounders this year giving them 3.

On The Lakers offer, I think Dwight would actually have to commit to going there and I could not deal him to L.A. I just couldn't.

It's also possible they deal him to a renter.

We will see.

I predicted that the Nets would have 15 wins at the deadline (they have 14 today). They have 22 games after the deadline and can easily sneak into the playoffs. Whoever wants Lopez, Brooks, and trash picks over the second best center in the NBA is on crack.

I'd much rather have Lopez, Brooks, and 2 late lotto picks than Bynum.

crack is whack

You can not properly rebuild if you try to plug Bynum into Dwight's spot. All you do is turn a 4 seed into an 8 seed. Unless of course Bynum busts his knee again, then we gave Dwight away for free.

Rigged might not be the right term, but it is next to impossible for small market teams to compete.

Ever hear of The San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons?

Also, Miami is not a big market either.

Oh and I am with the poster that says magic for life. I'm not bandwagon fan either. I became a fan of this team when we were in the bottom with the "hustle" team.. still a fan when we had Tmac and the 19 game losing streak. Will still be a fan no matter what happens after the deadline

The Spurs got a miracle. They drafted a franchise player in Robinson, couldn't win with him, then he got hurt and they lucked into a second #1 pick franchise player in Duncan.

So I guess all the Magic have to do to compete is get very lucky to draft a superstar, hope that superstar gets hurt and allows us to draft another superstar. Simple enough.

Miami is a large media market.

If Howard is not traded, there is still a good chance he will not stay with Orlando. According to Pingalore's sources, Howard is leaning toward not signing a contract extension with the Magic.

I like the Bynum deal the best. I have said this since day one.

We lose Turks god awful contract and we get the 2nd best center in the league who can actually make Free Throws AND in my opinion will be a LOT more effective playing for the Magic then playing for Kobe (Ooops, I mean the Lakers)

We will basically have the exact same team that we have now with a more efficient Center. Face it guys, Dwight is good but I honestly think that if Bynum came aboard he will be just a dominant as Dwight and it will not mess up the nucleus of our team and system.

We can still keep rolling.. Remember, we are the 5th best team in the NBA.

As far as contracts and all that crap - Honestly, I do not get into that too much so I don't know how that will set us back but we get rid of Turk's contract which everyone on this board seems to want to do anyways.

I just don't see this setting us back any - However, he does have glass knees - :( :( :( - so it is a gamble I suppose.....

But better him then Dwight dipping out and we get nothing in my opinion...

PLUS - there are an awful lot of Bynum fans out there that will follow him where ever he goes - Who knows, we might just increase our fan base because of him.

We only got the first half of our necessary mircle needed to win an NBA title outside of LA or Boston.

Superstars dont mean you will win anything. Look at the Knicks.

The nets will be better than the knicks because deron and dwight compliment eachother really well...but the nets are the nets and they will never be relevant in the championship picture.

I cannot refute your argument. I can only say that what NJ is giving us (an also injured, but not so good, free agent center, a decent chucking SG, and Maybe one late lotto pick in a not so deep draft plus a few late 20ish picks) is basically giving Dwight away for free for sure. I would take my chance's on the sen=cond best center's knees than pure trash.
