What does this mean.

There isn't great enthusiasm within Magic that the Nets have the ability to make the most appealing offer for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y!

Basically the nets don't have much we are interested in... Good for us, if you ask me

all we have to do is keep him until the Nets lock Deron in, and then force him to reassess from there once they're out of the race.

Woj and Berger are more credible than Broussard.. Plus, he lost his credibility when he said, 2012, 2014, 2016... Does he know what year it is?

I agree. I'm thinking he meant to say 2014, 2016 and 2018. If I'm the Magic I'm asking for at least 5 draft picks, well into the 2020s.

I don't mind Lopez. The guy is still in his early 20s and is a 20 point scorer who happens to be a center so he isn't the hot garbage some are portraying him to be. Brooks is a good asset as well. I don't want KH though because we already have many PFs.

The Nets will need to get that 3rd team involved to take KH and hopefully get us some more assets.

Lol we should clear some more cap space, and sign Lopez to a 4 year 48 million dollar offer sheet... That way if they match, they are screwed even further... If they don't, then why would we trade with them? We would already have the main piece coming back to us while retaining Howard and trading him elsewhere

Brian K. Schmitz ‏@MagicInsider
If Magic deal Dwight to Nets, ORL won't be competitive with Eastern Conference All-Star Teams -- BRK, Miami, Chi --- until 2020. Ugh.

:(

Terrific system you have, Commissioner Stern, in your 5-team super league.

Then we're stuck paying Lopez $12M a year? No thanks.

Stefan Bondy @NYDNInterNets
Fegan is pressuring to do deal now, but I don't see why Orlando isn't better off waiting until December, maybe even the deadline. If Nets re-sign Humphries -- and they have his Bird Rights -- the same package would be available later -- plus the Magic will get to see what level Brook Lopez is playing at. Of course, the Nets could tell Orlando it's now or never and Howard would be a headache in the meantime.

You are using a sample size of 5 games. Before last year, before he got hurt, he averaged 8+ rebounds a game. Not the best rebounder in the world no doubt, but he was still putting up 20+ points a game and he at least can block shots, putting up around 1.7 a game for his career.

Of course he wants Howard traded now. He stands to lose millions if Howard walks next year, which apparently Howard will do if he is on any other teams besides the Nets. My question is, if they resign Williams, they wouldn't have the cap space to sign Howard any way and Howard isn't signing for the MLE so......why all the fuss? Again I want a team to man up and call his 30 million dollar bluff.

**** the Nets! They don't have any leverage and they don't have **** to trade. We probably heard them out and they leaked it to try and get into Deron's head.

Any deal with them and I am done with the Magic and the NBA.
