I'm up. Going to sleep in an hour, so I might have to end this before it gets to 100 pages.

We may lose out on sending all our bad contracts to Houston, but the Rockets may be more desperate for Dwight nnow that they have a legitimate PG, so getting a better deal should be possible.
Rockets have about 8 Mil in contracts outside of Kmart, asik,Lin. Add 16.6 for asik and Lin, you're at 24.4. That gives them 34 mil to work with plus their mle. So d12/hedo/jrich/duhon is 40 mil, wont work, but d12/hero/duhon or d12/jrich/bbd would too. Many options.
They would be sending us K-Mart.....

And told the Nets to suck it! Sometimes the biggest move is no move.
This was our best move.
And you totally missed that one, I said it like that to be funny, not to criticize the move.

I believe they got the paperwork Saturday, so they have until Tuesday to match. It'll be an interesting couple of days that's for sure.
Either way, Houston is going to want to pair Lin up with Dwight even more if the Knicks do not match. It'll be interesting to see what happens, even if they can't take back a big contract, it'd still get two big ones off of Orlando's books, which is much better than nothing at all.
Still hoping for Lamb/Toronto-Houston's #1's/K-Mart/Rookie. That'd be really nice.

I mean they might think that
A) They have the makings of a team that can compete THIS YEAR with a star player like dwight
B) They now have enough good players that they can afford to gamble on giving up prospects
C) getting guys around him like that and competing this upcoming year might convince him to stay

I thought Lin would be matched, but why would the Knicks trade for Felton with Kidd already on the roster? It's not like one of the three can play SG and are interchangeable. Just based on the Felton trade, I have to believe the Knicks are not planning to match now. The only logical explaination for the Knicks to match now would be to use Lin as a trade chip at the deadline. Otherwise, Lin is going to the Rockets.

Doubtful because they are no longer players in getting a star to convince Dwight to stay.

Jason can play at the 2. They let Fields go, so I can see them still matching and having a backcourt rotation of:
Lin/Felton
JR/Kidd
Do they still have BDavis?
