Nets are loading up even more...got Kirilenko. That is a really nice pickup for them.

Should Dallas trade Dirk? After missing out on all of their big time targets and now their secondary targets...especially if Ellis doesn't choose them...they have nothing. They will definitely be one of the bottom teams in the west with they way they are currently constructed. Dirk still has some value and life left...but not much. Should they get what they can?

Doubtful after signing Calderon and Harris.

Two mediocre PG's?

I understand that was only part of their plan...but their plan failed. They wanted those guys AND someone that would actually contribute. All those guys do for Dallas is add some assists in the box score. They aren't going to win games.

I'm sure he has said that...I wouldn't doubt it. However, the question was should they. I personally think it is their only option to have any success anytime soon.

I agree but I think they're going to just keep Dirk and hope for the best. Why else would you sign both Calderon and Harris? They could have just signed dleague scrubs for cheap if they were thinking about tanking.

That was all before they missed out on their secondary targets. If they land Bynum & Ellis, they still can compete (on paper).

Dallas is old and they have no young talent, that team is going to suck for awhile until they can bring in many pieces, they had plenty of money to spend the last 2 seasons and could only get calderon and carter type players

Pretty cool stuff when you get to see the inside of their draft room during the draft.

Unfollow the guy on twitter if you don't want to read his "emo" tweets. He has been on this fuel kick since before the finals. He deletes his tweets so you can't see it, but it's not even related to Dipo because he wasn't even on the team yet when he started tweeting about his fuel for the summer. I think Skin posted his blog also telling about his training this summer, so it's him staying motivated.

I find it hilarious that people love Dipo and hate AA, and they have the exact same mindset. You don't have to like him, but absolutely silly to put him down for wanting the starting spot that he earned. If Dipo came out and said he wants to start, everyone would commend his competitive spirit. AA can't have the same competitive spirit?

As for teaching the youth, there are different ways to do that. You can take an active instruction role or you can show by example. Dipo will be challenged and grow just by having to play a vet like AA everyday in practice and that is healthy competition. Instruction can be given by coaches, but a friggin tweet does not mean he won't help the young guys. He did last year, and if he is not traded there is no reason to think he won't again.

People here just hate anybody eating up cap space past this season

Fixed it for you

If we cut hedo and harrrington we would be technically under the cap, floor, besides what are we going to do with that space right now? You trade him when you can get good value, not just for the sake of trading him, and its not like he has an albatross contract

Clearly, Dallas' only hope is to trade for a veteran shooting guard and an overweight big man. If only there was a team willing to part with players who fit that description...

I think McCollum is going to be the 2nd best guard from this draft

It really baffles me that people still cant make the connection. We are rebuilding through the draft and free agency. Having vets with contracts past next season equates to more wins, more money spent, and less cap room next summer. Many people have pointed this out but still some people dont agree/dont get it. I think its pretty clear that most of the fans and the front office want to get a high pick next year and have the most cap space capable. Moving Nelson, AA, Baby help both causes and dont hurt us in anyway.

BMP, do you plan on changing your sig? It looks pretty ridiculous these days, all things considered.
