Bucks beat Suns
Hawks lost @Mavs
Heat beat @Celts (what a game)

So for today (relative to the Magic):
Milwaukee 5 games up for 6-seed
Orlando alone a 7-seed
Atlanta 1/2 back for 8-seed
Miami 1 1/2 games back for 9-seed
Chicago 2 1/2 games back for 10-seed

I would rather play the Cavs but losing the first game is risky.

The Hawks still play the Jazz, Sixers and Nets. They really should win all three of those games which would get them to 39 wins at a minimum. If they split with Orlando, that gets them to 40.

The Heat are obviously hot right now, but they only have 35 wins and I'm hard pressed to believe they are going to end the year on a 12 game winning streak to get to 40 wins themselves.
The Heat have the Pelicans, 76ers, Wizards, and Bucks. All winnable. If they take 1 of 2 from the Bulls or Grizzlies, then they'll win 40.

I don't see the heat winning 40

If they beat the Grizzlies today, they are definitely winning 40. The Grizzlies are on a downward spiral and haven't beat a 500 team in like 2 months. They catch the Bulls on a b2b, they are a division game. The Bucks will be on a road trip when they play Miami.

If we tie Miami, then the first tiebreaker will be head to head, and we're 2-2. Next is division.

Cavs signed Chuma because they want to know Magic better before the clash.

Another reason why I’d rather face Boston in the playoffs.

We’re approaching an interesting situation where we help ourselves but also help Miami take the 8th seed if we beat Atlanta both times. I don’t care who we play in the play-in as long as we’re the 7th seed, but if it’s Miami it’s going to be a nice Pat Williams **** you to Miami if we beat them.

Post of the day!

Orlando should not fear their opponent and 7 is better than 8, and all that.

I will add: the 8-seed plays one more game, so being 7 is more rested for the playoffs.

Are they?

If so, they're crazy.

I'll take Luka, warts and all.

With the way people complain about Paolo’s defense, I’d love to see what they say about traffic cone Luka.

Once Paolo carries mediocre team to finals nobody will complain

I don’t think that team was mediocre at all. Luka obviously was great but that team was very solid after last year’s trade deadline moves IMO. They actually built a smart team around Luka’s skill set.

Kyrie - uber talented but nutcase
PJ Washington- part time starter on tanking team in past
Gafford- bench player on tanker
Derrick Jones -bench player on fringe playoff teams

Those were starters on Dallas.

Their path to finals : Clippers, OKC and Wolves. All those teams had more pure talent than Dallas.

Even in fashion they won some of those series was crazy. PJW having FTs in late game review vs oKC, Luka stepback 3 over Gobert.

Luka was really rough last night. He had 2 miscues with the drive (where he shouldve been giving the ball to the hot hands aka Bron or Reaves) and coughing up the ball on the fugly handoff from DFS that sold the Lakers comeback

Even with him losing weight, he just looks slow, and not even slow like him in Dallas where he's atleast playing at his own pace, he just looks lethargic

Lakers Warriors game was entertaining though, potential 1st round matchup

Top 10 player rankings by position in B-R. Hawks getting blasted again at home. Down 22 in the 2nd quarter.

Would put the Magic 1.5 games up for the 7 seed in the play in.

I don't think the Hawks' FO even cares tbh. I'm still trying to make sense of them trading away De'Andre Hunter.
