we arent getting paul but ellis/biedrins for jrich/anderson/orton would be great. nelson and ellis is very undersized though
Play Ellis at the point and bring Meer off the bench.
The salaries don't match up.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V)
No serious trades are happening unless it is involving Dwight. Our only hope was a J-Rich S&T and he is re-signing and can't be moved for a few months. Assuming Dwight isn't traded, we'll open the season with the same team that ended last season except with Glen Davis at PF instead of Bass and a different backup PG than Arenas.
Maybe if Hedo can play like the old Hedo, we can get back to a high level and maybe Dwight will change his mind. But that is incredibly wishful thinking.

I thought I read somewhere we could still move jrich and bb within 30 days or something? I maybe wrong but I know I saw it somewhere.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V)
watching the dwight interview now on Boumann's ustream.
my impressions
-when asked if he's had second thoughts about being traded, instead of saying "NO" he dodged the question...this tells me he is still unsure about all this.
-he still uses the words "we" and "us" when talking about the team when he's being asked questions, rich devos/alex martins need to rectify this situation it.
it just seems like deep down he doesn't want to leave, that's my perception it seems there's a power struggle going on here. There are so many contradictions going on right now....if firing Otis and bringing in a better GM is what would fix things I think you have to do it, Otis does not have a flawless track record....Hall of famers don't grow on tree's the magic have to exhaust every possible avenue to keep him bottom line
This whole thing has been embarrassing for us fans

aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Possibilities are Andre Iguodala, Kevin Martin, Paul Millsap, and Al Jefferson.
I myself still believe that Al Jefferson and Andre Iguodala are quite significant possibilities at this point.

Possibly Trevor Ariza too..... The Hornets are pretty much having a fire sale at this point. Though the NBA owns them, I think the Magic can make him part of the team once again.

^^ I completely forgot about Utah... I wonder if they are still moving Millsap and/or Jefferson

They're apparently rebuilding around Kanter and Favors and are trying to move both of them in a report from a couple of weeks ago.
I honestly don't believe they want the town and its children, so I think the Magic might able to maneuver a few role players over there. Redick, Anderson, Liggins, Turkoglu, and the 1st pick might do it.
I'm telling you Jefferson along side of Howard would be HUGE for Orlando.

Jefferson & Howard High-Low Block Offense = Unstoppable... and interior D would be great
(see Bynum/Gasol, or Duncan/Robinson)
Dang... so many dreams, I would kill for any star on this team right now helping Dwight

I love how everybody is on board now to get Al Jeff.
A year or two ago, it was like no, don't want to break the stretch 4, Al Jeff..we don't want him!
Fast forward to contract year, now its basically Anybody, Somebody, Please save us. I wanna go back to the good ol' days where our only problems were whether or not to continue with the stretch 4.

even if Dwight leaves i think Al Jefferson is a great replacement prospect. the dude is a machine on offense, but a sieve on defense. put him beside Dwight and they'd be a pretty big force to be reckoned with.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V)
Just caught the Dwight interview today, and wow...
I don't care if he's scapegoating the front office, if he says he's leaving because of the GM, it's a no brainer to me. Fire Otis. The ego on Otis amazes me. How can this guy refuse to acknowledge he has a problem with his star player. Again, this team can be good with slight changes, but if Otis is here for the long haul, then that's not proving anything to Dwight.

Is it too early if I type IBTL?
Anyhoo.. I wonder which thread ( I,II,III,IV,V,etc etc) is the best so far?
Which thread will we end at?
