Happend two times during games i watched this season alone.

Also that offense where Wiggins can do whatever he wants ...

late edit: there are rumors about Hoiberg getting job? Might as well play without coach, nobody will notice difference.
Facepalm

This was a stupid decision by a bad ownership group. A huge trade occurred, injuries at your PG, you’ve won the last 2 games and the one today was by 20. Now you want to bring in Hoiberg after watching what happened in Chicago? They deserve purgatory.

Just want a direction post ASB, enough of the 1/2 in 1/2 out rebuild. We’re either going for playoff push or collecting assets and going young.

Feb 6th can’t get here soon enough.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Its insane isnt it. Unfortunately i feel like we will try to win now and will be in that 8-10 range in the East for 2-3 years before we start to rebuild again. Hopefully now that Devos has passed away the pressure to win now will be off a bit.

Or perhaps the pressure to win now has never been higher to increase the team’s market value.

Worst thing about playoffs on East is that it requires like 3solid players + some medicore bench to get there and it has been like this for years.

When you look at teams that chase playoffs :
Heat - Dragić hurt , rest of team meh
Nets- Lavert hurt , bunch of average players
Hornets - lost starting C, one good player, rest of players meh
Pistons- 2 players good, rest of team sucks
Wizards- Wall,Dwight hurt, Beal and bunch of bench players

And even if you never drafted star you could on open market over 2 years buy off playoff team without getting star. That's what Clippers did. Houston did it year before they traded for Harde

That way you can sell FAs on how you can make them a winner on the court, and off. Could also help when trying to negotiate better deals if you’ve got a trusted money manager saying “if you take a pay-cut of $5-10M on this contract so we have save space for another player, I’ll get you double that in investments”.

Anyone know if any teams actually do this already?

This is the job of the Agents, but yes, team management works closely with agents on these (and endorsement-opportunity) issues.

It is in the vested interests of all parties. This is in the realm of service of Alex Martins' purview.

Jim Fritz is the Magic's CFO; he must be involved. I would expect Pat Gallagher as a General Counsel for the Magic also deals with the legal stuff in all of this.

Still a pretty horrible idea. Even at his best Parsons was a guy I never wanted on my team.

But, a guy who can shoot over 40% from 3 can greatly help out this team for 10-15mpg.

The Casselberry kid can have a place with the Magic, but all trades must include Mozgov.

What Magic fan would oppose:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yda2fypv

Mozgov/Grant/Martin for Parsons/Rabb/Carter

That's a trade Memphis could consider given that Mozgov his on the books for 6M less than Parsons, and thus cap release is found.

For the Magic, Grant and Martin for Rabb and Carter is a really interesting depth upgrade. PLUS: Parsons probably overachieves for Orlando (assuming he stays healthy).

Anyhow, there are paths were Parsons to the Magic can make sense.

Missed the game yesterday and watched the condensed replay. Didn't even see Isaac, so I assume he had one of those, box scores don't show it but he's amazing games? lol

Keep an eye on the 5PM EST waiver wire. Monday is the last day to waive a player on a non-guaranteed/partial contract and not get charged the full salary.

The list of 20 players include Ryan Arcidiacono, Shaquille Harrison, Alfonzo McKinnie, Michael Carter-Williams, Patrick Beverley, Tyrone Wallace, Christian Wood, Tim Frazier, Jahlil Okafor, Kenrich Williams, Trey Burke, Noah Vonleh, Isaiah Briscoe, TJ McConnell, Richaun Holmes, Quincy Pondexter, Lorenzo Brown, Royce O'Neale, Ron Baker and Chasson Randle.

Yet another complete failure of the front office. If they keep him I wouldn't be surprised, but in no way should this guy be given any more minutes.

The Clippers traded Griffin for Tobias, Bradley, and SGA. Could we trade Vuc for a similar deal? A young player, veteran, and a pick.

i don't know. Griffin was top 5 in mvp votes few years back.
If they can swing that type of deal ,they should do it.

Vuc is playing like an allstar, but the problem is he is UFA. No team is going to give up a pick, starters for a half season and risk the guy leaving. If we had traded him on draft night or last year deadline it may have been different. We waited to long to trade him. I could see a team like Spurs, Lakers, Rockets giving up a late future first round pick. Boston may even do a Rozier, filler for Vuc swap. iF that doesn't entice you then your hoping you resign him at seasons end.

Same could be said for Ross...UFA who is coveted, but won't have a high return.

I just hope Carter is better than his PER (4.36).
