Guards:
Suggs Bane
AB Jase Jett

You forgot Houstan and Queen. We got plenty of guards while Centers appear to get injured more often due to more physical play in the paint thus depth is important for big men. Guards are a dime a dozen when it comes to 3rd and 4th guards.

Suggs gets injured we are relying way too much on young guys or barely NBA.

I would argue some teams carry 1-2 centers. Did you see how late they were picked?

MLE does sort of feel less likely at this moment, but if they want to spend it still could happen. Especially if Mo actually does walk... No way right?

I think vet PG makes a lot of sense. Seems tough to rely heavily on Jase especially considering Bane and Suggs injury history. Also the fact that we don't have a true PG to step in if things go haywire with the bench unit. Maybe they are planning on giving AB another go here after removing him two months in last year?

Monte Morris available for a min? Shoot a little higher with Tyus or Tre, maybe Brogdon?

Less worried about the 4 now with Penda added. Have Paolo and Isaac there with Penda and TDS able to fill in. Do think we could still use a 2/3 that can shoot the ball.

Melton is still my favorite target using at least some of the MLE. I think Levert has made himself a pretty good player and would bring scoring punch. TPMLE/Min options I guess could be Trent, Magic killer Alec Burks, Coffey, Shamet maybe Kennard.

Can't really shoot, but I do like Jae'Sean Tate as a guy who may sign for very little and be a competent rotation guy.

Whether we think its good or bad, I would be shocked if Weltman is looking to move Isaac.

Yeah the roster just doesn’t look ready yet.

Like the Bane trade, draft picks were fine but I’m not putting my expectations high. Have to keep them realistic.

Just need more if we’re serious imo.

I think Caleb is significantly bigger than TdS...I see TdS as 2/3/4 and Caleb as 3/4...which is good, imo.

this is a decisive week, imo, for Jett...if he's just not in the plans, see if we can recoup a 2nd and save the salary - MANY teams have TPEs, even if they were not planning on a big splash, giving Jett a one-year tryout is a good strategy for a team with space and in a more patient stage of building than ORL.

If WCJ and Isaac are coming into camp feeling strong and Moe is on or ahead of schedule and raring to go before '26, I'd pick up a couple of unsigned big men for Osceola and then consider moving Goga for a vet guard. We'd be thin at C, but I think we'd be able to hang in there until Moe returns...I'd also be interested in some small-ball experiments with Isaac and/or Paolo "at Center" (I resisted saying Penda, but... maybe-we're talking about spot coverage).

If they're really serious about contending, then talk to BRK about Claxton, DAL about Gafford, etc...and see if you can stack up a few players to match...
In those cases, you'd have to consider Isaac, Goga, WCJ, Howard, TdS, and maybe even AB since we're out of frps. I just don't know how far we can really go with our present C rotation.

Not far. Which is what was so baffling to me with our picks on draft night. Not only that but we went into the opposite direction in terms of investment pieces even if they are the best available.

So I am hope I am wrong. But right now the C position is screaming "not good enough" at me. To be fair if one of Isaac / WCJ were just a smidge more available i'd sing another tune but right now I would rather have someone who is 80-90% them but is 100% available.

I really liked the Bane trade though. That remains possibly one of the better moves in franchise history. NOT the best, but definitely on paper to me was one of the better ones.

If Weltman lets Moe walk because he wants to pay Isaac, Goga, and Jett… man I don’t know what to tell you.

I think only scenario in which we dont bring Mo back is that brothers dont want to play on one team anymore. I have a brother so i know what i am talking about :P
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I love Mo and think he’s often underrated around these parts, but I value a competent backup point guard that could be a stopgap starter during the inevitable injury period > what Mo can provide for half a season coming off a serious injury.

Think the next bet should be who has more assists this year AB or Jase…
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

magic can not pay claxton or gafford...i am not even sold that they are better then wcj..and for sure better off waiting till next summer can not fill the spots with same money if you send out matching you still have to replace the spot ..there is no 1 for 1...you send out 2 bigs you need 2 rotation bigs back not getting more value then just keeping them this season

I love that one. I would do the Cole vs AB bet but the reverse with AB as Cole and Jase as AB. Jase doesn't have a CHANCE.
