I don't think we will deal with LA or BK, I think it will be something out of left field. And there is no way we take MWP.

I'm told the Magic will include Jason Richardson in any deal for Dwight Howard.

I think J-Rich is otherwise movable, without Dwight. Hedo is not. Magic must purge Hedo in a deal. Hedo is untradeable. What GM would trade for him after he signed that deal with Toronto?

Andrew Bynum contract expires after next season. So we could potentially lose Dwight and only have Meta World Peace to show for it.

I mean, seriously guys?

RT @JRudolphSports Source: Lakers are prepared to offer Andrew Bynum and Metta World Peace for Dwight Howard, provided DH signs extension.

How about we get bynum to sign an extension??

I think that is assumed. Henny would need assurances from Bynum on an extension, which I don't think he'd mind, he wants to be the #1 guy on a team, he'll have his opportunity.

Henny could convince Bynum to stay. Bynum wants to get paid and be the #1 guy. With his bird rights, we could do both easily.

Dwight wants to extend his brand and marketability in a huge market. Something we can't offer him.

Where's he going to sign then? Can't sign with the Nets.

I don't think Bynum is as much of a pain as Dwight. He just wants to be the man and he'd certainly be that here.

Getting Dwight to agree to sign with LA is the tough part.

Personally, i dont really believe that anymore. Watching Wade this past year and in the playoffs, i dont see a "superstar" now, i see a guy whose a shell of his old self and really had to be carried to that ring this year. If he keeps regressing, i think he will start holding the heat back instead of being a reason for their success
As for Bosh, i think hes a borderline "SUPERSTAR". Hes a very good PF but wouldnt put him in the same class as a Lebron, howard, kobe etc..

Interesting, but the Celtics would never do it. They should, but they won't.

To get rid of Turk, we'd have to take back McRoberts and MWP.

Agreed.
The trick is not to compete with the Heat next season, won't happen, but move on an upward rise that passes them in 2-3 years

Bynum could easily put up Shaq-esque numbers as the #1 option on this team. 30-15 type numbers. Add a couple of pieces around that and you will match up VERY well with the Heat. And if motivated (which I think he will be as the centerpiece of team)....I think he steps up his defensive intensity. Dude had 10 blocks in a game. Not exactly terrible. He's also a monster (which is why he often played Dwight decently) who can be very physical, which shouldn't be overlooked. What I don't get is everybody talking about this "salary dump". How exactly are you planning on doing that? The Lakers are in the tax, so they can't absorb any more salary than we can give out really and they have no great expirings...including Hedo I suppose would be nice, but remember salaries have to come close to matching so it really doesn't save us anything, and he is only $6 mil guaranteed next summer. Everyone acts like he has some Joe Johnson type contract...
