The Clippers have quietly assembled a very good team imo. I don't think the Lakers have sole control of the throne in LA right now. I think the Clippers could be right there with the Lakers and Thunder this season.

CP3/Billups/Bledsoe
Crawford/Hill/Green
Butler/Odom/Barnes
Griffin/K-Mart/Odom/Thompkins
Jordan/Hollins/Turiaf

They have excellent depth at every position except center. Last year they lacked a lot of veteran experience to get past the Spurs. With the addition of Grant Hill, Jamal Crawford, Lamar Odom, and Billups returning, they'll have plenty of experience to combat the veteran teams and they'll have they're good complements for CP3. A lot will hinge on Griffin's development too, but I wouldn't sleep on them. They may not have the "super team" that people look for, but I think they have potential to be a good team...once Del Negro is fired

I'm not as optimistic about the Clippers as you are. Assuming Billups starts at SG again, they go right back to having the wing defense problems from last year. On top of that Crawford need the ball to have any value and Chris Paul is probably the most ball dominant player in the league. Caron Butler is still a major ball stopper, and his 40% FG% makes that an awful deal. On top of all this we aren't sure if last year was just a bad situation or if Odom is done. I will say that if their wings get hot, they can catch fire they are capable of scoring points in bunches. They will be extremely boom or bust. Oh yeah, Jordan sucks.

Gotta agree with KingRobb on this one. Even with these moves, I still don't think the Clippers are better than the Spurs, Lakers or OKC. They are about dead even with Memphis still.

because he didn't want to work for Orlando? There has to be a mutual desire. The better question would be " Why didn't he want to work for us?"

More than half of the teams in the league would gladly hire Olajuwan without question. Olajuwan is a wanted man. He really was solicited by high profile teams like the Knicks which of course suit his needs as much as they need him. I doubt many small market teams would even be considered.
