It can be that a coach rests a player targeted for trades to ensure no injuries. It was Joshua Scott McRoberts and not Jonathan Clay Redick who got the DNPCD.

Orlando plays Dallas tonight. It's worth keeping an eye out to the minutes of McRoberts.

Houston's showing a willingness to move rookie Terrence Jones for a 1st-round pick, sources tell Y! Rockets are deep at forward spot.

No reason we couldn't give JJ $15M next season, and then $5-6M every season after for 3 years. We don't need to save the coin next year, and it'd keep him happy, and keep him affordable when we intend to chase FAs. I'm not sure who the percentage raises/decreases are intended to protect.

that's called cap circumvention

that may be a name for it, but i don't see why it's a bad thing. particularly if it's restricted to front loaded/decreasing contracts. don't give teams the chance to exploit it and have multiple stars signing for cheap and being paid $15-20M in future seasons. if teams are paying heavily upfront, it would actually restrict their ability to add any more talent that season.

I wonder if Portland can move JJ Hickson. He's expiring and has said he's excited for free agency. I know Houston wants a pick for Jones, but Hickson for Jones works straight up and Jones is from Portland.

Minny is offering Roy and a 1st for anyone with 2 legs and a pulse it seems. Get er done Otis.

Anyone still talking about loyalty? I know the $10 mil talk didn't come directly from JJ but it's naïve to think JJ will stay if we offers him anything lower than his highest offer. This is why we must trade him to the highest bidder.

Asking for 10 mil is basically asking for the Magic to trade Afflalo, isn't it? Like trade him or I leave basically. That's how I took it. I know he didn't say it, but it came from someone.

I personally would not like to see this team past the deadline but if we don't get a good enough offer than I'm OK moving forward with this team. I wouldn't mind trading JJ for Shumpert or Moute and their first rounder for the record.

The pick will probably get a lot lower than it is now, cause from what we know, MIL will only do this is they have a trade for Monta too (Monta for Smith probably?) so that team will get better after these moves ..

I'm not a big fan of Moute or the pick, but knowing Redick is gonna be asking for too much, he won't be here next season so better move him. Knowing that, the package is ok, but not superstar-worthy like most Bucks fans on twitter are saying ..

Gonna be hard to see him leave, he's been my favorite player for years now

I agree but I think with Henny and his scouts we'd be able to find a diamond in the rough even if it's a late pick. But I do not think Smoove would be able to get them any higher than a 7 seed so we'd have maybe the 16th pick in the draft. And just because this is a weak draft class doesn't mean we can't find a surprise.

All depends on what the teams around MIL will do .. Maybe some of them will make some moves too (Boston?)

Would be nice to have 2 or 3 1st-rounders this season, but I think next years draft should be the focus .. The more I see Wiggins, the more I'd love for him to be on our team in the future

That would be great. But it seems as if the Bucks will lose Ellis/Smith and Jennings soon anyway which would put them back in the lottery. I'm sure they realize this and would like to keep their pick in pursuit of Wiggins. I just don't see a way for us to get a high lotto pick from a team next year.

JJ's camp probably leaked that $10 mil demand to scare teams away and keep himself here in Orlando.
