I disagree. Once I looked at the big picture, I don't see anything random about them.

Though the amount we paid B Gordon for a year is surprising, but since we have been losing and wanted him to take what is essentially a one year deal, that is to be expected.

Agreed. They're not random at all when you look at our roster. Surprising? To us fans, sure. But in looking at the big picture? They make sense.

A look at the internet reveals that only the blogs say this is done. I can find no official (NBA.com or O-Sen) or semi-official site (ESPN, etc.) that yet has Ridnour on the Magic depth chart.

The Magic have announced the signing of Luke Ridnour.

Hennigan and the Magic added yet another veteran piece to the puzzle on Friday when they finalized the signing of point guard Luke Ridnour. The 11-year NBA vet gives the Magic some valuable experience at the point guard position to mentor talented youngsters Victor Oladipo and rookie Elfrid Payton.

Ridnour, 33, proved last season that he can still bring plenty to a team as a playmaker when he averaged 5 points, 2.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds while splitting time with Milwaukee and Charlotte. Last season, he scored double digits in 10 games, had at least four assists in 17 games and drilled multiple 3-pointers 10 times.

"They have a lot of pieces here, a lot of exciting young talent," Ridnour said. "Whatever role they want for me, I am here to help."

I just didn't know why it took so long. I've actually wanted him for years, to be Jameer's backup. I'm just glad he's with the Magic now, not saying he's the difference maker or that final piece. But I think he'll be vital to Oladpio and Payton's progression.
