Like someone else said, AG & JI can neutralize Kawhi and Pascal; but we need everyone else to step up and handle business, and outplay their role players.

Essentially:
DJ, Fournier, Vuc, Ross, MCW, Birch, Wes

vs

Lowry, Gasol, Green, Ibaka, VanVleet, OG, Powell

Win those match ups and we have a chance.

To me the key on our defensive end is whether we are able to contain Lowry and Green. Go back to the very first game we played against Toronto at amway this year and AG has defended Kawhi quite well every time. Same with JI on Siakam. When they have killed us its been pg penetration off the pnr and open shots for Green (especially in the most recent game). Cliff setting us up to defend is going to be massive. It will be interesting to see if he puts Evan on Lowry again or how he handles it. Simply put, DJ on Lowry is a nightmare matchup for us.

On the other end of the court I think the key matchup will be what Vooch can do against Gasol. Historically, bigs like Gasol have really given Vooch trouble as they really bother him down in the paint. I wonder if the staff can design something to get Vooch a bit more movement and get him out on the floor more when Gasol is on him. Perfect example would be the pnr we ran repetitively with Evan near the end of the Boston game -- get Vooch out there near the 3 point line and make Gasol move to try to defend. Once you get Gasol set up strong in the paint he is a massive pain in the neck. I don't think Vooch has to be the MVP of the series for us to have some success but he can't be a negative either. If its me -- I'm looking to utilize Vooch as more of a point Center at least initially and really focusing on ball movement.

Ignore this douche.
As a raps fan yes please ignore the douche. I really like your team. Isaac is dpoy potential. Ross can light up (or cool down) real fast. Vuc doesnt get the cred he deserves arou d the league imo. I hate Fournier but i cant deny he can ball too.

Good luck yall, I wanted to avoid you this rd.

Please and thank you.

Oh, and I'm sorry.

I think we are going to be in this series in terms of the scores but I wouldn't be surprised if they sweep us. I think all the games will be close though. I'm going to say we go down 3-0 and man up and win game 4 before they close it in 5. Looking forward to it though. its going to be a lot of fun seeing us in the playoffs. I got a feeling Vuc might have a tough series and we are going to need to depend more on Ross and AG

I just hope the moment isnt too big for them. They have been in some playoff type atmospheres this last month but none of it will come close to actually being there and playing game 1 in front of that Toronto crowd. I don't see an upset but a 6-7 game series would be huge for us.

I'm so excited for tomorrow night.

I’m worried about Danny Green more than anyone. And the Lowry flails that’ll get the younger guys in foul trouble inevitably.

We are outmatched here for sure, but one thing I am confident in now after watching our guys this season, they are on another level mentally than ever before. They've got a strong jaw and will take a punch or two or three even and still get off the mat. Couldn't say that about any squad since Dwight left.

Probably an 18 mpg player in the playoffs. Sucks for anyone to get injured near the playoffs :(

Good thing about being in our position is if we lose Orlando has already succeeded our expectations. However if Toronto loses there’s going to be a complete meltdown.

Idk about you boys but I wanna see that meltdown first hand. It would be glorious.

Since Terrence Ross is a former Toronto player, I expect him to be fine in Toronto. He shouldn't be rattled/affected/shaken/uncomfortable,etc by playing in Toronto. But the rest of the team could be so it could be possible TROSS might have little to no help in Toronto.

Well, I do worry about Ross trying to do too much, trying to show the former city he's legit.

Everyone is just going to have to play at their best at the same time.

This series will come down to containing Kawhi / Lowry and controlling the pace. If they ramp up the pace of the game we won’t have a shot. Danny Green’s impact can’t be understated, especially not this season.

Happy we were able to retain MCW.... because I think he is going to play a huge roll for us on defending their perimeter players.

If we play as a team, make the right plays and no one tries to put it on their shoulders to carry us to a victory... we will do great in this series. This is one of tests of maturity that I will be focusing on this series.

CAn't wait till tomorrow!

We can compete with Toronto. Can see me hating Danny green after this series however. Also let's not forget about our own outstanding bench players like berch mcw and tross. Expect them to continue that. Toronto hasn't proved anything and we are one of the hottest teams.#goodnew$#quitsleepin. I Expect gordan to be jittery. We shouldnt put all our marbles on getting vooch going early. Ibaka going to go hard at him .And yeah. I see this as fairly up in the air. Let's go Magic.

My mind is slowly moving toward a 7 game series, but I don't know if that is me being biased, or if Cliff really does have some sort of coaching edge and as this team firing on all cylinders? Remember it was the All Star break that screwed up their last run. I think they continue this into game 1 and shock Tor! My original prediction was TOR in 6.
Do not max Vuc!
