I see the buses are Disney cruise line, that's operated by Mears Transportation. Not sure what screening they're doing.

I heard MLS opted to do way less time than the 3 weeks that the NBA did before the first game. I believe it was less than 2 weeks.

If anything, that might give me some more hope this bubble could actually work. The issue is, how thick is the bubble? Are these workers being tested? The videos I've seen post lockdown show a lot of interactions with Disney employees for these players.

Insane level of contact tracing early. If our government tried to impose that level of crack down on its people we would have an outright hillbilly civil war. Look at the outcry from a simple mask request. Sad.

I don't want to get political, but we really didn't have testing for the first 2 months. It was too late at that point.

That makes the story better? We were too stupid to start doing something we are too stubborn to have ever done anyways? Gee, aren’t we great?

It wasn't the citizens fault. I remember the only way you could get a test the first two months is if you had like 3 symptoms and were a senior citizen.

... you’re (again) missing the point and focusing something the smaller issue so let’s get back to the topic of the thread.

I love how the coach doesn't even know when he expects his starting point guard to arrive.

I made a post about this earlier, because its quite confusing to me. No timetable to return and he will still have to quarantine once he does. Pretty bizarre in my opinion, but I guess most of the "secrecy" this front office chooses to operate under is too. I won't start to really worry yet but you'd think there would be a publicized reason why he hasn't yet.

Only people I have seen not join the bubble have stated their reasoning why (injuries, injury prevention, etc).

Everybody has to quarantine once they enter the bubble. Players were posting about just getting out of it a day or two ago. Prob just personal reasons that they don't want to share because it's Fultz related and we've always been mum about it.

Remember when people were saying he wouldn't play this entire season because of the offseason stuff?

Vividly, and for good reason imo. They were very vague about his injury and gave no timetable on his return which lead to fans and media speculating for months until right before training camp when they released a hype video.

I get the Fultz situation is unique, but even with the Bamba situation last year and the Isaac situation this year it feels like they could give more definitive answers to things. Other organizations just seem to handle these situations in the media better than we do.

I realize that everyone has to quarantine. My only point to bringing it up was to emphasize that that additional time he won't be practicing due to quarantine will have to be factored in.

Can someone please paraphrase this, as in the UK I cannot read anything O-Sen:
O-Sen link

All I can see is an image of Fultz on the Google feed.

To the Fultz quarantine, it is stated to be 48-hours. So let's say he quarantines RIGHT NOW, he is not practicing before Thursday.

Really Friday might be a more reasonable timeline if there is a RIGHT NOW entry to the Bubble.

I really hope this mom stuff is irresponsible speculation. I get that they keep everything on the down low with Fultz but something here doesn’t smell right
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's a child on the way.

That's really impressive if true.
"So, from what I understand and testing is going on constantly," said Windhorst on his podcast. "It's going on every single day. So I can't speak to the accuracy to this second, nor can I speak to the accuracy of it to when this podcast publishes and to when you hear this podcast. But from what I understand, there's been no positive tests in the bubble as yet. None of the people that have come into the bubble have tested positive. That's what I've been told."

The bubble is very similar to the other countries that did testing, tracing, and isolating. It's certainly manageable and I think even I was overreacting based of the incompetence of Florida and not considering that this can be contained when managed by competent people. Absent that level of testing, the solution was actually quite simple, assume everyone has it and act accordingly, which we should have been doing since March.

Someone in Fultz's family could be non-COVID sick. He could be about to have a baby. He could have recently had a death in the family of someone very close to him.

There's a lot of potential reasons why he isn't there that don't involve necessarily COVID-19.

Until he misses a game, and we're about 6 days away including mandatory quarantine from him missing the first scrimmage, I'm not really going to worry about it too much.

Than why not say that? Everyone would understand that and be on his side. Keeping it a mystery is bizarre

That’s all very true but the thing I can’t shake is why would they hide it or be this protective of what’s going on.
