Getting Mobley, arguably the #1/2 prospect this draft, at #5 is hardly a nightmare.

In no capacity Would that be a “nightmare”
I do not see much in Mobley, then again I am not a good evaluator of bigs, I usually don't see anything special with them, but "nightmare" scenario? Nah, just disappointing but better than nothing.

I would be disappointing if we fall to 5 or 6 but Mobley would’ve a hell of a pick IMO.

6 is a nightmare. 5 is disappointing. 4 puts us in a position where we hope others draft the players we don't want. 3 puts us in a good place but still need picks 1 and 2 to go the way we want it to go. Can't complain about the #2 pick. Obviously, #1 is where everyone wants to be.

And Giddey....I just worry about the comp he played with and against.

Kispert is 22. what is wrong with his age and our timeline?

It’s probably not a big deal In reality just seems they would go with a younger prospect with a high ceiling instead of a high floor. Like I said he’d be a great pick depending on where the bulls pick falls

Going with a high floor guy, that's a little "older" is perfect for this team. Some of our guys are so young. Kispert lines up with WCJ's development/contribution.

I'm a big fan of Duarte and would be thrilled if we somehow ended up with him. unfortunately, there's NO ROOM here.

Who do you guys want? Chade, Suggs or Green?

Not 100% sure just yet but one of those for sure.

I need to find a deep statistical breakdown for all three.

For example, I like Green but Xatticus mentioned something about his FT rate being low. That scares me a bit.

Haven't really gotten to doing some deep research, waiting for the lottery to know where we are picking before I do. Don't want to waste my time as I have done in previous years.

But for me so far is Green, he seems to have the highest upside of the 3. But with a #1 pick I'd be very surprised Cade is not selected or maybe there is a trade down to 2 or 3 to select Green and get some assets back.

Cunningham is clear as the #1.
For #2 you will get a half-half answer between Suggs and Green. I like Green myself.

Notabkly you do not see Orlando having an interest in Mobley. That might not be true.

Edit
Yeah but green is aggressive attacking the basket and IMO wing players take time learning how to draw contact. For me it’s Cunningham, GREEN, Suggs, Mobley.

Now? When our only info has been the games they played and not their "measurables" /stuff? Cade.

However, ask me again after that combine and interview/workouts. My answer might change.

1. Cade

Big gap

2. Suggs

Gap

3. Green

I don't really see how Cade busts if he's actually a 40% 3PT, 85% FT guy at the next level. Seems like even if he doesn't reach his full ceiling he's still a rock solid Gordon Hayward caliber two-way wing. If the passing/shot creation for other is really what everyone suggests it could be and was just depressed by a lack of quality teammates, then he could be a real Paul George/Jimmy Butler caliber multi-time all-star wing.

Is stats the only thing you look for?

I mention this because WHAT IF :

1.) Green is really just 6'4 with an average wingspan ( I mean no one legit measured him that's why we have news from him being 6'4 to 6'6 and I don't know who to believe.

2.) Suggs medical has or might develop B.Roy's knees. All that is said. Might shorten playing career.

3.) Cade has the least athleticism. Like his tests come out and he is athletic as Adam Morrison.

You know things like that won't be shown by stats.

To me it is.

Sorry, but maybe I’m alone in not wanting Orlando to spend their next top 5 lottery pick on another big-centered offense for the foreseeable future. No thanks.

Saw it with Shaq, Dwight, and Vucevic. Also saw the AD experiment in New Orleans if Mobley turns out to be his comp in a best case scenario. Pass.

It would be nice to play with successful modern offense for once in this franchises history.

It's only a disaster if you expect this to be a short rebuild IMO.

But I think it's extremely likely the Magic are going to be playing lotto ball for at least 2-3 more seasons after this one, so while I would obviously prefer a wing or a guard, I'm not going to shy away from taking BPA even if it's a big.

There's not a single player on the roster who can't be moved on from if the Magic acquire/draft better players.

Im with the group that thinks this is a short rebuild. Plus the fact that the top players to look out for in the next draft after this are mostly PF-C makes me believe we will do our best to win out.

Compared to other tankers not named MIN we actually ( on paper ) have a better cast than all of them. Plus our young guys except for Cole and RJ are actually pretty mature already. I think using OPJ's expiring and depending on what we do with Harris, our FO might sign/trade for a quality FA this time around and roll the dice with us being in the POs

Same here. As much as it's nice to think of the legacy of Magic Big Men, we gotta roll with the times.

I fully agree with Cade being the clear #1. I’m settled on that.

Who’s my #2 is where I’m still undecided. Green is very intriguing to me but I do worry he could flop. Suggs seems safer but something bugs me about him. Something about Suggs has me cautious about just how high his ceiling is.

What is your reasoning for having Suggs ahead of Green with a clear gap?
