Re: The 2022 NBA Draft Thread
Right now from watching highlights my top 4 is Holmgren-Hardy-Ivey-Smith in that order.
I would steer clear of Banchero and Duren.
Hopefully this is the last time the Magic draft in the lottery for a decade.

A SG that has an eFG% above 55% and a 40% college three ball is all I want with this pick.

Re: The 2022 NBA Draft Thread
So..................
Am i the only one who doesnt get the hype around Chet?
He seems like a good prospect, but, the way people have been hyping him, youd think he was the next big superstar in the nba and i just dont see that from him?
For a center he has good handles and decent athleticism, but hes severely underweight\muscle and is likely going to have to play SF, and to me hes not athletic enough for that
He plays good defense, but whats he gonna do against grown men?
Not saying he isnt good, but just not "clear cut #1 overall pick" to me

If the Magic draft in the 6-7 range, Bennedict Mathurin might be the BPA SG at this slot. Should the Magic be looking to someone like him?
..
I really like him and if this team does somehow win a few games and drafts in the 6-10 range, he would be a nice player to slot in at the 2/3 spots and add good depth at both spots.
Right now im just really curious what the long term play for WC is....Is he going to stay at PF? does he move back to C once bamba walks as a FA? If hes staying at PF, we need to start looking for a new C to team with WC\franzchise. Not saying with our #1 pick, but in general.
Either way, i think we are in good shape (seriously) for the future, just need to get healthy and get the young guys more experience

still another year away from the draft. He would normally be a senior. My son has been in school with him for awhile. He was a stud in HS too, hence why he left after his junior year.

He looks better than this year’s prospects already:

If the Magic draft Paolo Banchero or Jabari Smith, th eMagic will be a roster of PGs and PFs. Something's gotta give here.

Damn, I didn’t know that. This kid looks exciting. Him and Wembanyama are making 2023 already look fantastic. Bring on another tank year!

He's got that same Wade-like physicality. He and Suggs would beat the hell out of other backcourts.KillMonger wrote:Thoughts on Jaden Ivey?

While Orlando was busy winning, Jabari Smith had 20/7/4 with 3 steals on 6/12 shooting and 3/6 from 3.
Maybe he can play the 3 in the NBA?

I think his form is pretty good.
You might be getting confused as the first three shots in that video aren't Jabari. They're just showing his assists.
Apologies in advance if I'm wrong.

I want Chet so bad. Dude can play all 5 positions on the floor and is a great shot blocker. Yes, he needs strength. But so did Kevin Durant

Got a strong looking frame and long arms. Looks like he has the kind of profile you look for in a prospect. His range looks legit. Gets after it on defense. When he attacks the paint he has a grip on the ball like a running back. His passing looks pretty basic, but it works and gets the right people involved.
