Don't the Blazers play the Warriors? And the Warriors might need that game to avoid the play-in altogether, depending on tie-breakers(?). If so, I wouldn't even bother watching.

My typo.

Magic get at least 6th best odds and will tie for 5th if Portland wins.

This really worked out well, with the Wizards and Pacers both posting one more win than us. Wonderful. Of course this doesn't guarantee that they don't jump us on lottery night, but this feels like a really good position for a 34-win team on the rise.

I’m not ready for this to be over. 6 months to go! I hope these guys take the summer and really work.

The Knicks really tried hard to screw our lottery odds in the end of their game against the Pacers, this last minute of their game took forever, it was downright bizzare how much they hustled to pull off a miracle in a game without meaning for them.

Great ending from a tanking perspective, we edged out the Wizards and Pacers at the end without going overboard with tanking. Portland will probably be below us in the standings, but you can't win them all. Now let's hope for some lotto luck.

The Magic won 8 games in March and April and only ended up costing themselves one spot in the standings.

edit: in 2022, 34 wins got you the 9th seed in the lottery.
in 2021, 34 wins got you the 13th seed in the lottery
in 2020, the pandemic shortened the season and I cba doing the math for a 34-win pace.
in 2019, 34 wins got you the 10th seed in the lottery.
in 2018, 34 wins also got you the 10th seed in the lottery.

So yeah, this worked out perfectly.

That 5-20 start was a gift and a curse. I'll take it as a gift because we need just a bit more talent.

Poetry in motion. What a blessing. Good basketball and timely tanking.

Portlands tank is on another level. I haven’t even heard of 3/5 guys in their starting lineup.

I’m shocked they didn’t bench Sharpe.

If it gets close, they will bench him for the 4th quarter. They've already done that recently.

Well I didn't get to watch the last few games, but once the playoffs were mathematically done I'm glad we shut guys down and played for the odds. Playing the way we've played when healthy, and finishing with the 6th odds plus the Bulls pick is a great season. This absolutely should be the last season I use Tankathon!
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

The Blazers game is over before the end of the first quarter... It was expected though

Next game of interest is the Bulls' play-in game. Hopefully they lose and we get their lotto pick.

I'm rooting hard for the Raptors! I think they are dangerous and can make the playoffs
