Management does seem to have a certain type if character they look for... but we also had Gilbert Arenas on the payroll even after his locker room shenaniguns.

SAS dont seem to miss Murray much, either fans or ex teammates. Maybe hes matured, but the FO has to be very careful about impinging on the brilliant team harmony in Orlando.

I'm reading that SAS might be in the mix to get him back. He said Pop is like a father to him. Different time in their trajectory.

"BW" era...before Wemby.

I'd be thrilled to get Murray. I just assume that ATL isn't ready to tank with Trae on board, so expirings and picks might not get it done.

If that's the deal, then absolutely but there no reason the Hawks should do that. The owe picks to the Spurs so there's no incentive to tank. They would want a player(s) that keeps them competitive along with draft capital to replace what's lost to the Spurs

Im just going by Kevin O'Connors tweet that the Hawks are looking for 2 first round picks for Dejounte.

What about a Fultz + 2nd for Bruce Brown? He's overpaid to be a bench guy though and I'd want AB and Suggs starting.

Masai made it out in his press conference today that he intends to keep Brown.

He could have been lying though.

Jett + Fultz + Den 25 for Murray has 4 years left at 114M
or
Fultz, Den 25 for Tyus Jones bird rights and would hopefully ink a deal immediately.
or
Fultz + Denver 25 for Malcolm Brogdon has 1 year left at 22.5M

AND

Gary Harris 2 2nds for Luke Kennard has 1 year left at 14.7M

Okeke & a 2nd for Alex Burks who is an expiring

Magic go get a proper Guard who can run an offense with one of the first trades and then follows it up with bench depth either for this year/next year. I'd go for the bolded options but would easily throw quite a bit for Murray just don't know what that would need to make work. Felt like an expiring + propsect + 1st round pick would be a good haul. Would possibly include WCJ if that was what they were asking for but would then remodel the trade.

I love these kinds of deals. Doesn't hurt our cap and long term strategies, might very well improve us on the court today too.

Fultz + 2nd for Bruce Brown would fit that too.

Curious what your team would likely want in return in a WCJ trade? What's his value?

What do you suggest? He's on a great contract, and he's only 24.

I don't know. What are your teams needs? Would they prefer picks or win-now players?

We really don’t need to consider trading WCJ.

Can't find the post, someone just said in here that it might cost only two 1sts to get him per rumors. How could you say no to that price when one of the 1st's we give is DEN's?

6'5 or closer to 6'5 instead of 6'4. Standing reach looks very good too. Already 27 years old and with a Career 34 3P%, but he also only has like 5 seasons or so of NBA mileage. Noted as a defensive player at times, which is easier to do with his length at the 1 or 2. Superb 2P%, AST% is good, has that dog in him. Ngl, I liked that post-game interview, haha

Biggest problem I am seeing is what about his 28 mil per year (on average) contract for the next 3-4 seasons. Maybe we could do better with that space?

I was just thinking where do we find a big who can hit 3's and do a bit of everything on both sides. We have it in WCJ now if you thought of him as a new player added to the team. Some advanced stats starting to love Goga as a permanent starter though.

If the Magic do trade Carter, it is for sure going to be for an upgrade in the backcourt.

Picks are not of significant interest to Orlando at this point in time.

Don't you have Anthony, Suggs, and Black already? Not to mention Fultz.

Would have to be a three-team trade then as we don't have PG depth unless you want Schroeder lol.

Hoopshype reported Lakers is the most involved with Murray but they are reluctant to give Austin Reeves. Pistons, Knicks are interested also. Orlando isn’t mentioned as team interested. Hawks want two FRPs at least. Should we get into the sweepstakes?

Magic need a guard who can run an offense, handle the ball and spot up shoot. Basically a playmaker who hits open shots.

Suggs is a 2 and Cole is at best a microwave 6th man. Fultz can run an offense and handle the ball but dude is severely challenged offensively so it hurts us big time.

A good guard...hard to say without knowing what team...ORL definitely not looking to sell off parts for someday stuff. I'd hope they would happily keep WCJ rather than liquidate him for draft capital.

I really don't see how a $20m Alex Caruso helps us. He addresses nothing we need. He doesn't score, he's not a PG...He's another good defender to throw on the pile. The salary is not guaranteed because it was a fluke of IND reaching the salary floor. He's perfect trade bait, because his deal is not guaranteed. If TOR is in no rush to make future moves and they are not worried about cap aprons - they can keep him and he'll contribute...but he should never make near that amount again.

He IS a good player but makes no sense for us.
