THIS!!!
Paolo and Franz arent injury prone players. Its just bad luck it happened at the same time. Any team right now would be in the same situations as us of their 2 top offensive star players are hit. Look at PHI without Embiid and PG as exhibit A
Philly without Embiid and PG have Maxey and McCain nowhere close to their prime.
And look at their record... When you're that top heavy And 2 of your big 3 go down, and you don't really have depth/talent. Your team automatically becomes a mediocre/below average team.
Take away George and Embiid.... maxey's numbers even looked like a chucker 40% shooting and less than 30% on 3s... like suggs already without Paolo. luckily McCain was ready to go for them.
To be honest as people have said.... next man up. It might take a couple of games.... but i'm hoping that players rise to the occasion. It might seem farfetched cuz we lack so much right now.... but same way Franz moved from option 2 to Option 1AB someone can fill a bigger roll. Option f to D... whatever. Hope they get chance to try and just to make mistakes and grow from this point.
I am sad that franz is out..... but gotta look at the possible bright side. With Paolo coming back in possibly the near future... the path will be bumpy but hopefully something positive floats to the top. Black, Tristan, and Howard.... tis your chance to seize the opportunity... don't force anything... play within yourselves and explore what you can do. SUGGS.... figure out how to truly lead the team in some manner... might not be just scoring... but be a leader in these times.
