If I had to guess - me, RevTy, not an insider, just basing it off of what I've heard - I would say better than 50% chance Chris Paul joins the Magic.

Yes, actually. It might be a surprise if we were talking about trading for Kobe Bryant but Chris Paul is one of the most attainable superstars in the league and has been since the middle of the season, which I pointed out months ago using nothing but common knowledge (even started a thread about it before this recent news).

It is the responsibility of the GM of ANY team to inquire about available talent, however unlikely it may be to land that talent. Even a team as successful as the Magic have been has to call up a team like Cleveland and ask for what it would take to work out a LeBron sign-and-trade. If a GM didn't do that this summer, he would be fired. So as I point out a few months ago, with Chris Paul, we're looking at a young superstar PG who is a little disgruntled by the lack of success his small market team has had, a notoriously cheap owner who is looking at a "PG of the future" playing extremely well and doing so cheaply in place of CP3, a potential off-season sale of the franchise, etc.....OF COURSE Chris Paul is going to be made available. It also just so happens that the Magic are looking to shake things up and a dominant superstar PG would be the perfect pairing for our dominant C. The Magic have more assets than most teams to use in a trade and make a great trade partner being in the opposite conference, so obviously Otis Smith is going to be involved in heavy discussion with NO for CP3.

This stuff isn't news, it's the Magic performing their due diligence. News would be the Magic NOT looking to trade for CP3. "Inside information" would consist of details about the specific players/picks involved.

Amway Center just renders that building uncouth being as visible as it's going to be directly across Church Street. At minimum, some new awnings & a paint job would be a nice face lift. Okay back on topic.

Whenever you called him on something he just started throwing up a bunch of names or possibilities to get you off the trail. Anything that might stick.

Whatever happened to theTHIEF anyway? Last time I heard about him he was about to sign with a team in Europe.

From what we found out it seems more likely that he's riding the pine behind accountants and grade school teachers at his local YMCA.

ThE Thief was a "complete joke" after all. I think it's one of those situations where a man is in his 40's, has loved basketabll so much (obviousuly had the knowledge), couldn't make it, so over a year's time convinced most of us over here at RealGM he had connection's and was trying to go "pro". Then, dropped off the face of the Earth.

I was on MC (Magiconfid) frenzy, loved his writing, especially with all the details. Though pure fabrication as time went on and lost all credibility. Dropped off the face of the Earth along with his forum board and "rumors"..

If there was a an Orlando Magic comic book, MC would be the guy I'd want creating/writing for it :lol:
