Automatic advantage over the bulls, hawks, not sure on Boston, but Miami would be a little tougher.

Unless they have developed a treatment for his knees than the odds on that look low. I just don't trust Bynum.

It doesn't matter what our front line looks like with SVG as the coach. Knowing him he'd start Gasol at Center and bring Bynum off the bench.

However I will say if we made that trade we'd be crazy deep up front and like it or not Pau would do well here, guy can still play. I want to hold onto Jameer though. Sadly he'd be the main guy for awhile.

if we can only trade with nets or lakers, I would take Gasol and Bynum over Lopez and whoever or whatever

I agree. which is why if we trade Dwight i want to take the Lakers offer. we could just pound it down low to those two.

For the most Dominate player in the league, I reckon Lakers would have to do a:

Dwight/Hedo/QRich/Duhon for Gasol/Bynum/Character/Ebanks/Barnes/TPE (Odom)

SVG talked about BBD taking the backup minutes at C. Still think we need a permanent fixture behind Dwight though. Tick ..tick...tick

Seriously?! BBD?? C'mon :nonono: We can't keep doing this small ball nonsense when Dwight leaves the game. Otis should have had a back up center by now to prep thru training camp.

As I said on the other thread:

I really hope Otis is jumping out of his lazy chair and picks up the phone to call Milwaukee's GM ..

1) Jackson doesn't like it in Milwaukee
2) He fills a need for us (toughness, defense, can create his own shot)
3) Dwight wants him

Really .. If this doesn't atleast ring a bell with Otis, I'm done with this guy.

Would be a good sign towards Dwight. This would (after Big Baby) finally be another guy Dwight wanted + we could ABSOLUTELY use him

Get it done, PLEASE !!

If I'm Lakers, I would do it in a heart beat, Lakers can easily bring another star or 2 to play next to howard after kobe is done

Anyone else get the strange suspicion that Otis is not signing a back up center because a deal with the Lakers might be immanent?

We would have Bynum, Gasol, BBD, Anderson, and Orton to cover 2 spots.....I hope this isn't the case, but it would make sense why he has not yet brought in another big guy

Im not a fan of SJ, dude is unhappy because no one wanted to give him a 2yr extension. he will be what 37? at 10m/yr and that doesnot guarantee Dwight stays. i dont want him.

He is 33, will be 34 in April. I wouldn't mind him. As Belgian pointed out, he brings defense, toughness and can create his own shot.

The number of guards on this team still baffles me. J-Rich/JJ/Von/Liggins
I think that J-Rich or JJ will be moved at the trade deadline. Perhaps to GSW if that team starts to fray and Monta wants out.
But for now, it seems like the players we have right now is what we're rolling with.

Even if you bring those guys in you need some backup center for rest and insurance. That's the logical thinking at least, Otis, if things stand as they are, will be going 2 seasons without a backup center.
