I know most (all) of the talk on these threads are about d12, but I couldn't find anything on this from yesterday.
J rich to Minny for who?? Beasly? anyone else??

Some one posted the article about this way back in this thread. Yes it is for Beasley. Not sure if it will happen though. Just a rumor right now. I would be down for it. Gives us another young piece to either plant or to move for a better player down the road.

You know, you're making compelling arguments in your posts. I've never believe anything BS, Bianchi, or Stephen A has said. Why should I start now? Cause it sounds good? Negative.

I just don't get this thinking? If Dwight wants to stay then why not just sign the extension? Why scuttle the Monta trade which would give us a better chance of winning a championship? A guy that he himself named as a player he would like to play with?

First round picks aren't pieces of garbage. And a scoring C, as underwhelming as he can be rebounding, is very very valuable on this league. Come on.

I think it has been repeated many of times that Howard makes more money if he A) opts out this summer and takes a new contract or B) opts in and then becomes a FA in the summer of 2013.

He loses 30+ million if he just goes and signs straight up with another team. The Magic have already said they will not sign and trade Howard in the offseason to help him out money wise.

To be fair, we don't know that Dwight scuttled the Monta trade. For all we know, maybe he DID tell the FO that getting Monta would cause him to sign, and when Golden State got wind of that, they pulled back because they wanted a shot at Dwight, themselves.

I know we all love to be the first to post the most recent Twitter comment about Dwight from some "expert," but the truth is it's all hearsay.

There's plenty to be pissed about when it comes to Dwight and what he actually has said without dipping into the world of "sources."

If re-signing the best center in the game would be a good idea, why would re-signing the second-best center in the game be a bad idea?

Because the best center is a top 3 player and the 2nd best is not even top 20.

P.S. A lot of denial going on in this thread.

Am sorry, but what you are saying makes zero sense. IF you want to believe we have hope to keep him then that's your business.

Not entirely true. It would only take the rest of this season to see if Bynum could carry a team. Remember he plays 3rd option to Kobe, and Gasol or er mostly Kobe. Dwight would probably be a third option on that team. Just sayin....

Do you, actually, you know, read things?

If you've read any of my other posts, you'd know that I am absolutely convinced that Dwight is leaving and that we need to trade him right now and that he is a childish coward.

But, by all means, continue to be ignorant. It's way more fun.

Yes because as we have seen in the past 1st round picks are guaranteed to succeed in the NBA, as an already legit superstar who has missed a total of 7 games in an 8 year career is deemed to fail.

Lopez is one of the worst defenders in the NBA.

The Nets haven't won much with these "pieces", high picks and trades, unlike the Magic who continue to be top 3 or 4 in their conference what seems like every year for the past 5 years.

Do 0.1% of what dwight did for orlando and then you get to talk.

Sure it isn't directed at anybody in particular. I don't know if that's some ironic way of being funny (by jokingly hiding behind the fact you are replying to my previous comment - i.e. being a copout/pussy by calling somebody out on the internet and not saying who you are talking to)...but whatever. If that's directed at me, I don't care. HE is the one who says he wants to be a leader. So yes, I feel I can go ahead and call him out for that. Also, I assure you the next time I see Dwight in a new uniform, I will rip him a new one verbally. I'm not scared to do that in person.

As for "Do 0.1% of what Dwight did for Orlando"....give me a break. I have far surpassed Dwight on various levels of various things in my life. I am as good a basketball player as Dwight, of course not. Have I done as much for the community? Of course not. Do I have as much money, of course not. That doesn't mean that I can't call him out for what he is doing right now. I've always said he did a great deal for the Orlando community. Fantastic. I praised him for that. Now he is doing them a disservice, so I am calling him out in the same manner. Can't have it both ways, even though Dwight likes to try.

BTW, this isn't directed at anybody, especially not the person I quoted.

FYI, I got this vibe from you.

I also don't think Dwight is a coward. Childish, eh, maybe. It doesn't really matter as I am 100% sure he is gone. The question is do you try 1 more time? Or do you make the trade that keeps us in the best possible contention?

You could also blow it up. But like I said, were already here, and we could just simply try it with the 2nd best center and take the same "wait and see approach." You can still have your firesale of 2012 if we get kicked out of the 1st round.

Sheesh whats that some Dumb athlete stereotype? How dumb do you have to be to not want to play on a team that has pieces traded away? Mastermind? thats just basic common sense. Just because he is an athlete doesn't mean he's dumb. Drop the stereotyping.

You used the word dumb not me. I just don't think he is smart enough to have a grasp of the collective bargaining agreement and everything that would go along with the Nets retaining RFA Brooks this summer in addition to him signing for the Max and convincing Deron to return.

While we are on the subject of "I think it has been repeated many of times". Sign-and-trade in the offseason does NOT affect him money wise in the new CBA. Exact same as signing outright as FA with a new team. 4 years, 4.5% raises. Can I start a new thread (you can lock it if you want) stating this fact, so that we don't see it on every page of every thread?
