Always admired Tyreke's skill set for his size. A 6-6 PG is definitely a luxury to have. I believe his problem in SAC was that he couldn't be as ball-dominant as he wanted to be because of Cousins' touches as well as Thornton and Thomas. For the right price, most definitely (my opinion).

Fun fact, I believe he said growing up that the Magic (TMac years) was his favorite team to watch. I believe that was in an interview in SLAM magazine.

Can't blame him. You have to take care of family first.

Pay Tyreke less than what OJ Mayo got?? Not gonna happen lol. OJ was coming off of two pretty bad years. Tyreke is coming off of a very good year.

I would pay Tyreke what AA is making. On this team in our current situation? Maybe not. But Tyreke is 4 years younger and is putting up better stats across the board with better efficiency in less minutes. Not to mention Tyreke played with a bunch of ball hogs while AA was on the worst team in the league that was just begging for a vet to step up. Tyreke's 18.1 PER versus AA's 13.0 PER kinda says it all. On this team with the direction we are going giving out another long-term deal isn't ideal. But I would definitely be surprised if Tyreke doesn't get AA money as a RFA.

Stay the heck away. OMG what a team cancer, black hole and poster child for inefficiency and terrible shot selection.

No offense and I'm in no way likening the two, but most people said the same about Kobe before too. Just saying, a change of scenery may help the kid.

KCP > McLemore

Been saying it for awhile.

Can't get anybody else to agree with me on that it seems, but we will see.

Here's the thing that people need to understand about Afflalo. The expectations of him to come in and become our next superstar were unfair. That's not what he is or what he ever will be. People were hoping for the next T-Mac for goodness sake. Afflalo is a mid-level player and gets paid like a mid-level player. Not a max player. So having to live up to the expectations of a max player were unfair from the start. He came to a team dearth of talent and his numbers suffered because of it. He's a guy who is effective when he can pick his shots. But he is not a volume scorer by nature. He's a #3 option or #4 option on a good team. Sure on certain nights he can be more than that, but not consistently. The reason why his efficiency numbers were down was because he was in an increased role this year. Maybe he learns from it or maybe he just needs a strong cast around him again.

But either way, unless he is traded (which I don't see realistically happening), then Tyreke Evans is not coming here. Evans is a below average PG and better suited as a combo guard. There's just no money for him, no spot for him and I don't think his prima donna attitude is a fit for what we're trying to build. This isn't a "me" team.

Why even bother to arguing with BMP? He repeats things over and over and nothing will change his mind. It's like arguing with the TV, and that TV plays the same program over and over again.

I think no matter who we pick (Noel, McLemore, Olidipo or Burke) we will get a good to solid rotation player with maybe star potential. We still have to develop them no matter which one we get.

This seems an odd fit on the court and a challenge financially, but we pass it along anyway.

Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500 tweets he has “heard from multiple angles” that new Minnesota GM Flip Saunders is interested in free agent O.J. Mayo.

That would be the same Mayo the Mavericks really didn’t want back — and he didn’t want to be back, so he’s opting to become a free agent. Mayo’s up and down performances game to game drove coach Rick Carlisle crazy. And he faded badly last season — in his final 21 games he averaged 9.3 points on 39.9 percent shooting from the field, 33.3 percent on three-pointers.

These next two years are exactly the time to sign players because our cap space will get used up when we have to extend Vooch and Harris in 2015 and Harkless in 2016.

Further evidence that there is still a market for medium-quality vets on medium-sized deals. This is why AA, Meer, and BBD should each return either a pick or a decent young player with Harkless/Harris potential.

lol, your right. Glad our GM doesn't think like him. BMP is like Otis Smith's long lost son.

That's definitely bad news for us. I was really hoping we can unload Afflalo for their lotto pick

except that I doubt Mayo gets more than about $5mil/yr or so, about the MLE. AA/Nelson each make $2-3mil more than that.
