Of course they would if it meant they were getting Dwight.

Um, Ok. Are people that drunk today? Does anyone really think that they CANT and WONT do better than a TPE? I mean you guys understand getting Dwight would mean championship or bust right? And that also means they will need warm bodies on the bench and not a TPE?

apparently you arent paying attention .... they want to shed salary

They would need the tpe to absorb his 14mil. I would think it would involve multiple transactions including affalo or bbs, hedo, al etc. With us taking their other big expirings To drop their salary cap space. Our hit would only be for this year. All the better if we can pry a youngster as well. We would have all the leverage.

I can appreciate your optimism about something like this but it is a major reach. Oh well, speculation thread gon speculate.

Turk is untradable. He had little value at the start of last year as an upcoming expiring, but between the injury, crappy play, and then suspension, we couldn't include enough second round picks to get him out of here.

Unless he's part of a bigger trade, I don't see anyone taking him on, even as an expiring deal. The guy is a pariah.

I'm a little surprised no one has an interest in Harrington. He played ok in limited time last year after returning from injury, and probably can help a contender with some solid bench play, so ling as he isn't run too many minutes per night.

Is Bogut shot, or does he have the potential to return to his place as a top tier center? I'm wondering if his body is just failing to the point where he can never get back to a reasonable level...?

Bogut looked good in the playoffs for GS last season, but who knows if he can stay healthy or not.

Well, if they are trying to make trades without taking any salary back, what do u suggest

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

You are saying bogut is worth more than that and you are right . What we are saying is that GS only cares about SHEDDING SALARY so they can sign Dwight outright without a sign and trade . Thats ALL they care about . In that case our TPE is gold to them because they can send us almost 20 mil in salary without having to take any back which gives them the ability to sign Dwight

Did the GS FO came out and said that's what they wanted to do? Was it Woj or other reputable reporter or was it some silly realgmers who said it? I probably missed it the reason why I'm asking.

marc stein and brian windhorst reported it......if GSW is serious, Orlando can be a facilitator, they have the ability to take on money, without sending any out

Gs doesnt have to include anything to get rid of Bogut.Im sure there are teams under the cap who would absorb him. Rj and Biedrins on the other hand are really hard to move.

I don't see why we would do it. if they really aren't willing to give up KT or HB (as reported), then we really want to take in 20 mil for a late 20's draft pick? Not worth it to me. If you bought someone's pick straight up, it wouldn't cost you 20 mil. No one we could pick next year would be worth 20mil in a season. I must be missing something.

I think we can take on both with our TPE.

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228638/Warriors-Trying-To-Trade-Bogut-Jefferson-Biedrins-To-Create-Room-For-Howard

Howad was the player with the most potential in the League when he was with us, now he has the potential to be the player to screw the most NBA teams in the Histroy of the NBA.

Imagine if both the Warriors and Rockets traded several pieces to land him, then he went to the Mavs and failed there. That would be the Magic, Lakers, Warriors, Rockets and Mavs and he still has time to screw up a few more lol

Who is far enough under the cap to absorb his deal that wouldnt want something else . I dont think anyone who could do that would want to without some kind of incentive ...maybe im wrong

ur forgetting they are xpiring contracts. u can usually flip those at the trade deadline. we can easily renounce our rights to them. i wouldnt renounce rights on bogut but i would do a sign and trade so it would be the gift that keeps on giving ;)
