Otis 2.0 has taken over.
Otis 2.0? Wake up, that's one of the most irrational statements I've heard. Just like Simmons said tonight, Henni rebuilt this team in 12 months.
Dude, you just quoted Bill Simmons? Oh boy, we are way worse than I thought.
Lets look at what happened here. We just wasted the #2 pick on a player we didn't really need, who clearly doesn't have that much value that we could trade for Burke at 9 and other assets. All advanced analytic show that Oladipo has numbers of what normally equates to a back-up SG on a decent team. He brings nothing to the table that Harkless (Who is BIGGER and YOUNGER) brings to the table and will take minutes from him.
Where do we play him? Behind Afflalo? He needs a lot of time just to perhaps get better, so we shift AA to 3 and play him at two and Harkless and Jones, two prospects that have proved that they can play, get buried or get limited minutes? Doron Lamb showed some progress in the little time we have him, and is now buried behind Hark/Oladipo/AA at the 2, so do we work on making Lamb a 1? What about E'twaun Moore? Is he the new back-up one or buried in the new logjam at 2?
Does this basically make Marcus Smart our 2014 high pick target? Or if we get 1 will we just try to sell Wiggins to the highest bidder? Or take him and bench Oladipo or try to trade him? Will his stock even stay as high at it is that he will actually be worth something?
Too many questions going forward with Oladipo and our roster. Would have been much safer to have just taken Noel and let him sit.
