BS. I watched him plenty. I don't talk about players I don't watch. I'm not saying he can't be good but he surely didn't show much stardom at IU.

Are there any stats out there about a player becoming a star in the NBA after his team didn't even make the NIT tournament?

Not picking on you but,I hate when people judge the value of players based on their team's success or failure. I think the of judging the prospect not the school. If the team didn't do too well, the prospect's play factor in, but shouldn't influence picks.

Haha, no problem man. I was being sassy anyway. I just prefer almost everyone in the top 10 over Vonleh.

I think there is a second move coming after the Afflalo deal. The deal creates more capspace/flexibility.

I like Evan Fournier and do feel he will be a nice swingman for this team. He also played some point guard last year in Denver.

Getting the 56th pick makes the second round interesting.

In the end, I think Fournier is going to be a good pick but you wonder two things.

1) Is this the best deal they could have gotten for Afflalo?

2) If they liked him so much, why not take him over Andrew Nicholson in 2012?

I don't really know how the Afflalo trade changes anything. There was always a good chance he got dealt this offseason.

There is no way we pass on Embiid if he is there, who was projected #1 until his foot. He may still go #1, meaning we will get Exum.

If neither one is there, which I find hard to believe, that means Parker or Wiggins fell to us. Either way, the Magic are coming out winning this draft. The only other player I might take at #4 is Gordon who is an athletic freak and can play either SF or PF.

Me too, dude! I'm hoping that Philly likes the idea of Vonleh or Embiid more than Exum

honest question, why is he an ideal fit? He isnt a shot blocker and many scouts say he has low BBIQ. that doesnt scream to me an ideal fit next to Vuc.

He averaged almost twice the blocks of Randle and Gordon last year. He's certainly more of a shot blocker than the other elite PF prospects in this draft.

I'd take Randle or Gordon over him any day. He's not going to be good.

He blocks shots because he's long but you really want a rim protector that knows how to rotate and play team defense. That isn't Vonleh's forte right now.

If we pick Embiid I hope its to trade him to either Boston or LA for their pick plus another player

Yeah I agree. If you watch him play a lot of his blocks were simply because he was playing against smaller players in college, this won't be the case in the NBA. Also, like you said he doesn't really rotate or play team defense well.

You must amuse easily. Watch what happens. We have a much better shot at Embiid then we do Exum. Unless we trade up.
Rarely do all these trade scenario's and rumors materialize. If that is hilarious, knock yourself out.

It is, thanks :D

Obviously you are an adolescent. It is sad you can not post on here without some wiseguy teen replying with nonsense. And not even addressing the substance of your post. No need to reply to you anymore today. I am sure your parents will be putting you down to beddy-by soon.

I apologize to others for posting this reply but why can't we all express our opinions and thoughts without getting the smarmy wisecracks?

Now Henny...GO GET EXUM!

just because he averaged more blocks than someone else, doesnt mean he is either very good at something or make him the ideal fit.

Yeah, I gotta say I agree with Blues here. If that is your measure for potential greatness, then Paul George is a 2 nod rounder and Taureen Green is a late first rounder. That isn't to say winning isn't important, it just isn't the primary concern when evaluating prospects and their potential IMO.

So the Magic will take Embiid or Exum at 4, that is a given to me because they are worth more than any other players at that spot. They will either keep them or trade them for more. If neither one is there, then we just got Parker or Wiggins at 4. It will be interesting to see who they draft at 12.

Even without the medical info on Embiid? I am not saying we won't but that does not sound like something Hennigan would do without all the medical info from Tellum. Who knows? He may have it. It would be scarey to pick him without the info.

I was just looking at the ESPN blog where they are going over all the suits and fashion things the players are wearing to the draft. Has anybody ever worn a cape? Because that needs to be done.
