I'd do it if the picks are unprotected. By the time we'd be using the picks, the Lakers would suck. Nash would be retired, so would Kobe, and Dwight would be old. I'd want a S&T for Devin Ebanks also.

The Lakers rarely ever suck... once their superstar gets old, they just go out and get another. It is too easy for them when players are lining up to go play there.

So the source knows the trade is imminet, and won't tell us what team it is to but BELIEVES it's not Brooklyn?

The sources also believe that LA is still in the mix even though the trade is imminent. all hes doing is taking a specualtive guess off of a kobe quote today about the lakers might not be done dealing lol what a joke

Exactly.

Once Kobe gets old, who knows who'll be lining up to get there. Those picks won't mean anything.

The question is if L.A. could deal the picks.

If the 2013 and 2015 firsts to Phoenix are protected in any way, it could complicate things.

Why would he? They are completely different situations..

Ray went from a contender to their arch rivals for less money, and his team wanted him back.

The suns never even contacted Nash with any kind of offer and were ready for him to move on to try and get a ring, knowing they would suck. He seemed kind of ticked that they never called him about staying. They also got 2 1st and 2 2nds..

Is this guy reliable?

Chris Long ‏@jclong
WKMG TV in Orlando reporting a Dwight Howard trade is "imminent" and it's not to the Nets... appears to be to the Lakers.

They are different, no disagreement there. Nash had to go to PHX and ask them to trade him to their rival though. He was an FA and had every right to leave, but it's a bit of a harder pill to swallow for his team to facilitate him getting to their hated rival. I respect Sarver though, because he had promised Nash he would send him where he wanted to go if he should leave PHX, and he kept his word. Bawse.

Ray left and took way less dough I am sure to ringchase, but he did it on his own.

Both are crappy, but I think if you criticize one then criticize all of the ring chasers.
