I thought this was axed when CP3 said he wouldn't resign there.

But if Ainge calls him and says, here's our plan to get Dwight next summer. Will you sign?

CP3's friend said Paul didn't want to sign there because they were too old. You can take that as saying I don't want to play there, or you can take that as, move your old assets or get a plan together to bring in young talent.

Also, aren't the contracts of PP, Allen, and KG up after this season? or next?

Just as I expected. No one wants to sign with us until the shoe drops on Dwight. This is all on Otis now. The trade route has to be the way to go.

Also, until we amnesty Arenas we can't offer the full MLE. We've gone from a desirable FA destination to a wasteland overnight....

They could basically ride out this year, and after amnesty, have like $22 mil in caproom next summer, without trading for any expirings....if they somehow manage to trade for expirings....maybe even $30+ mil. With Dirk and Cuban wooing people to come there. Ugh. Dwight and Dwill have both named Dallas as top landing spots.

Even if Dwight said he wanted to play for the Lakers, do people here think that the Magic organization would be willing to lose (2) of the best centers in the history of the NBA to the Lakers?

I just cannot fathom the Magic trading with the Lakers or helping them in any way.

A new "renegotiation and extension" provision allows an existing contract to be renegotiated so the player is paid a smaller amount over a longer period, but the player's salary cannot decrease by more than 40 percent. Renegotiations previously could only increase a player's salary.

Surely NO can do better than Martin, Scola, and Dragic? Hell we can offer comparable players to that. What concerns me about this deal if it goes down is that this could mean he and Dwight have decided they want to play for the Lakers. The Lakers will still have Bynum to deal at the end of it.

We can't do better than Martin and Scola... you're underrating them and overrating our pieces. We can offer more players, but somehow I think they want quality over quantity.

That was me, and I'll keep on saying it - if all of NOH's incoming pieces are from Houston, then why the hell aren't Houston just taking Paul rather than Pau? Makes ZERO sense.
