Harris/KO
Harkless/Orby
Oladipo/Jones
McCollum/Jameer

Yep... That's my dream.

Doesn't Aldridge want out of Portland? Why isn't he in your trade? And Boston gets Bledsoe & Nicholson for Olynyk?

Nah, that would be silly.

Personally I wanted us to draft Porter, who I think will be a very solid if unspectacular starter for many years.

Having said that, Dipo is a very impressive interview and seems like he could have star potential, if he can reach for it. I'm warming to the pick.

I'm preparing for him to do some dunks and set the board on fire during the summer league when he pulls out his first move, that V sign he does under his nose.

Yeah I know that it will happen as well eventually. I just find it funny that in such a crazy draft, the Magic pick arguable the best player and people still complain. They think they know better than Hennigan just because they read an article online that had some analytics in it.

They also complain about Hennigan not making any other moves without knowing what other teams were offering and wanting back in return. I just don't get why people jump to such stupid conclusions and hate on a player without even seeing how he does in the NBA. None of us know how Oladipo will do, we can make educated guess based off of stats and game tape, but until he actually plays we wont know a thing. I choose to trust Rob though because in the past year he has earned my trust by taking the mess that Otis built and creating a good young team with a bright future.

Couldn't agree more there is a reason why he is making millions of dollars to make these picks and we are writing on some online forum

Well. Pack it up. Close down the forum. Pointless to discuss our opinions on our basketball team because we aren't getting paid to do so. Lets shut 'er down.

Otis 2.0 was overreaction and hyperbole. Calm down guys, you are way too serious.

Nah, that's not what I was saying. It's fine to have wanted someone else and to be disappointed things didn't go the way you wanted. I was just getting upset at the people that were trashing on Hennigan and calling him Otis 2.0 because of this draft without even knowing how Oladipo will do in the league. At least you want to keep an open mind about it and you'll give Oladipo a chance. I just think it's silly to take it to such extremes like some people are doing with their negativity. I have my doubts about parts of Oladipo's game too, but I trust Hennigan and I'm excited about the pick. I can't wait to see him play in the summer league and also watch what the Magic do during the rest of the offseason.

People wanted Potter? really? Why? We already have Harris and Harkless who are natural SFs, why would we add a 3rd SF under 22 years old?

i just don't see how you can go into next year with this PG rotation, then again it may help us suck badly again

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

He is not on a level with Otis, but he is absolutely NOT the messiah that most of this board makes him out to be.

He has had one great move (JJ for Tobes), a few stunningly bad ones (Iggy to Denver, failing to trade down in this draft), and a couple that any other GM could have made (he doesn't get credit for getting a couple nice-not-great young players in return for a prime Dwight).

Jury is still out, but I continue to say the early returns are not that great.

Yeah some people here have unbelievably unrealistic expectations... What we got for Dwight was the best return we could've gotten for the direction we're headed in... Because NO ONE was going to give us a superstar for Dwight. We had to rebuild and that takes time. We weren't going to become championship contenders with Iggy anyway and he's getting up there in age.

And not trading down is only what some people wanted... Not what was best for the team. Henningan himself said he was close to pulling the trigger on a few trades that would've moved us down. But he really likes what he sees in Dipo and so do I. We can't make a jugdement on this draft until at least mid-way through this upcoming season. Maybe it would've been better to trade down and get Burke or MCW or whoever else... But right now we don't know.

Henny is a great GM so far.

Don't know if it has been said before but Myck Kabongo has goes undrafted.

Should we sign him for our summer league roster? We definitively need a young pg.

Yea idk why. It'd be stupid to add a career role player at SF, the position of two of our best prospects, and two of the best prospects next year. If Hennigan picked Potter then he's worse than otis.

DiplomaticMagic wrote:Wow Philly had a great draft, they set themselves up for 2014 draft nicely, they are gonna be truly terrible next year, and they get NO's pick and Noel? Great trade, I bet Sixers fans were losing their **** at 1st, because it was 1st reported to be Jrue and their pick for Noel lol, and they just had Bynum lol

Jazz also got steals with Burke and Gobert.

I'm warming up to Dipo, but I would have took Noel, and kinda wanted Siva at 51. But I'm excited for Summer League and October!

Those two clearly won the draft. I would say we are in 3rd since we got the best player available. I think Oladipo will develop into the best player in the draft.

Gotta say i like the oladIpo pick. Its a ssafe pick. But i would have loved it if we took a high risk high reward move instead. In a draft like this, i think its worth taking a risk, and i think noel would reap more reward if everything pans out for him.

For me, oladipo character and work ethic is outstanding but for a Junior, i dont think there is still much to grow, but we'll see

76ers were the team that was screwed most in Howard trade. But this time they are taking a calculated risk. They traded their PG(Jrue Holiday), but drafted a PG with #11 and also they got Noel and a 2014 first rounder. They are one of the winners of 2013 draft I think.

Wow...This board never changes. As I've said over the years, We're a "What have you done for me lately fan base." They didn't see Orlando in any big splashy trades so now Hennigan doest get credit for the assets HE'S brought in and "the jury is still out" ? Some of you need to calm the f*** down and let this play out.
