He has a good looking shot ala Allen. But he's more athletic than Allen.

He reminds me of nick young more than Ray Allen. Also Ray Allen was a stud athlete. He was in the slam dunk contest back in 97.

Kings fan here.

That was my first impression of him before he was drafted by the Kings.

But after watching his game more and more, the striking difference between him and Young is that, Young takes STUPID/DIFFICULT shots throughout the game while Ben's shots are in the flow of offense. Young is an inefficient, low IQ chucker that doesn't have a clue of team concept. Ben is projected to be an efficient 2-guard that can stretch the floor with his 3PT range and a regular recipient of lobs for easy layups and highlight dunks. Dude hustles on both sides of the ball, while Young ignores the defensive end.

Comparing BMac to Young is not an appropriate comparison imo.

I like Mclemore but personally i don't get why people compare him to the hof highest caliber catch and shoot player that has played arguably? I tend to think he's more comparable to Jason Richardson imho, and i don't think that's bad at all, J-Rich in his prime was damn good.

Do you mean athletically? McLemore and Young both have elite athleticism but as far as players go they are completely different. Nick Young is a ball dominating/blackhole chucker while McLemore is an efficient off the ball player.

Similar in that they have equal ball handling skills, athleticism, and rely on their jump shots too much.

Well McLemore is an amazing shooter, not really surprising that is what he does the most of but even then he still does some straight line drives and can get out in transition. Young is a chucker, completely different than McLemore. They also aren't really similar in ball-handling with Young's being quite a bit better than McLemore's.

Youngs last season at USC he shot 52% from the field and 44% from 3. Better than Bmac last year.
Edit- honestly other than his athleticism there is little different from Bmac than jj redick his rookie year.

Jeff Goodman of ESPN recently stopped by Kansas to watch Wiggins practice and did not leave impressed. Here is what Goodman had to say about the universally projected No. 1 pick in the draft next year:

"During one three-hour practice, Wiggins misfired on jumper after jumper, took plays off and was practically invisible. Sure, he showed glimpses of the athleticism that have some putting him in elite company with NBA superstars. Kansas coaches maintain that the 6-foot-8 Canadian has yet to be the best player on the floor in any of their practices thus far.

To take it one step further, he's rarely even one of the best two or three players on the floor."

Goodman backed up his take on Wiggins with two NBA sources who have seen Wiggins play.

Here is what the first had to say:

"Maybe he'll wind up getting there this season, but he's a long, long way off right now," said another NBA guy who came through Lawrence in the preseason. "He looks like just another player. I've seen him a few times in the past, and to be honest, he hasn't been off-the-charts any of those times. I love his athleticism, but I worry about his intensity -- as well as other aspects of his game. He doesn't shoot it great, and he's got zero aura about him. Again, I'm not saying he can't get there -- but people are making far more of this kid than they should."

And the second:

"I certainly wasn't blown away by him," said one high-ranking NBA executive. "He was just OK. Average. I'm just not buying all this no-brainer stuff about him being the No. 1 pick. I just don't see it yet."

Young is a better ballhandler than Mclemore but he doesn't use it to his advantage. Also I've never liked the comparison to Ray Allen because Ray was a great ballhandler who could play pg in a pinch.

ohhhh mannn. And it suddenly doesn't feel as bad to expect something like the 5th pick.....ahahah. Grain of salt though!

IMHO picking orlandipo(I got the shirt, and so did my girl) was the correct pick! I wanted us to suck this year... But have our draft pick practically nullified was not one of my choices.
