So all those teams that were saving up for Giannis, PG, and Kawhi. Two down, and Kawhi ain't going anywhere. FA market is going to be crazy. Better lock up the young guys.

How do the Bucks add a legit super star next to him?

A trade or saving for free agency is their only real hope. Even if he misses a season due to injury they are good enough to stay out of the bottom 5 in the draft.

Can they package everything for Harden?

I think Middleton and the addition of Jrue are perfect next to him. With Harden, you'd take the ball out of the Freak's hands too much.

Sucks that we don't see any magic games till thursday... but happy they get extended time to make tweaks and also heal up some players.

Simple answer:
They don't.

Having more money than third world country GDP > some " ring".

Isn't it obvious that most teams don't even care about chips and just love their money ?

The 1.85 is a tall 6', so with dad's shoes, Nelson Jr. will be a solid NBA 6'3" !!!

Because unless he is good that is just so mickey mouse franchise like. LA traded their entire 5 year draft stock for a kid from akron who recruited his own team and won a championship. Sure we aren't LA. But...c'mon man.

Was gonna say...perfect wording. Milquetoast AF.

Orlando Magic -- Finally admit defeat and trade veterans
It's time. After years of hovering in the middle of the standings, the moment for Orlando to bottom out again is finally at hand. Jonathan Isaac is out for the year. Without DJ Augustin, they lack any consistency at the point guard position. Evan Fournier is on an expiring contract. There's less of a reason to push for the playoffs when attendance is limited or forbidden outright. This is the year for the Magic to start shopping players like Fournier, Terrance Ross and Aaron Gordon. Depending on the sort of offers they get, Nikola Vucevic could be in play as well. That might be a bit aggressive for the milquetoast Orlando front office, but some combination of Fournier, Ross and Gordon is finally going to get dealt this season. The Magic simply have no reason not to move them.

They went "milquetoast" when describing the front office. Ouch!

Seems pretty accurate though.

Lakers traded nobody for Lebron, he walked in as FA, than they traded draft package to get AD. And AD is so much better than anybody from their youth list that it's not even funny

Ouch. That reality is dawning on me. I think it's ownership groups not teams, but still. Your brutally honest!

Looks like they'll have to bid on Fultz, Isaac, and Fournier.

I think DJ is in the starting lineup soon.

Naismith is nice. I think a player like him will take some time to adjust. redick, hield... those guys took time to adjust. I was listening to herro’s pod with redick or zach lowe. And they mentioned they had to change some mechanic or whatever because opponents are stronger and faster in the nba.

Im still entirely convinced we would have picked Cole though even if Naismith was available.

I think there will be a very solid crop of decent players from this draft. I didn't see the game but Maxey's numbers look good. Vassell looks like the real deal, and Haliburton looks good.

The top of the lottery looks pretty damn terrible at this point, but it's only a handful of games. Too early to judge. Plenty good watching though.

I always find it funny how much buzz new rookies gain, and after 2 years you figure 85% of them won't become even Tobias Harris level good

Seriously, if Anthony develops to replace Carter-Williams as the primary backup PG (in a couple years), then the Magic management made a value selection.
