Apparently Boston is not willing to part with the BKN pick. That would pretty much take them out of any potential deals for butler or PG IMO.

Also, beware of fake twitter handles this trade season...
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Oh come on now, he's only 21 years old, he's not even close to a finished product. The Magic would be insane to trade him for anything other than a star player.

not a single team would trade a star player for a package headlined by him. The only people that see him as a potential star are some Magic fans.

Then don't trade him. Stop being so damn impatient. He's 21 year old for crying out loud. He's been poorly developed and had to change positions this year, give him time to figure things out and work with Vogel and Forcier. For a board that wants to tank so badly and draft young talent, it sure seems like people love to give up on guys quickly if they are not automatically a star player.

The Magic keep giving away young talent and it's not helping. Why give up on probably the most promising of the bunch just because he's not a star right away? Why trade him for anything less than a star, when anything less is not going to really help this team? AG is the closest thing on this roster right now to getting us a star, whether that be through a trade or through his development. Moving him for some average player that might be a bit better than him now is not going to do anything for this team.

Trading AG means posters were right or wrong, which obviously is more important than anythingr regarding the future of our team. We need to be right and never eat crow or message board posting will become obsolete!

Thank god. Reggie Jackson is not the answer. The answer is a high draft pick in 2017. End of story.

Had a feeling either we never land him or if we do, the price is so much higher than what weak deal leaked and we blow a gasket after it goes down.

With our lottery luck lately and Hennigan draft record, I believe the draft won't be what most of you are hyping it to be

Pistons not giving RJ away, Hennigan loves him, but Magic unlikely to get that deal done.

This way is different and unlike the rest. We are actually going to finish in top 5 positions and be on track to draft one of the big time players. Even after Fultz and Ball, guys like Jackson, Isaac and Smith Jr are great talents. Either one of those 5 on this team would be the most talented draft pick in RH's tenure with us. This isn't 2015 or 2014 where it was a 3 to 4 player draft and we came up short by one pick. Each one of those 5 players has all star potential on them.

But guaranteed the moment we give him up everyone will suddenly start to appreciate him, because the only way this fan base supports its players is if they're in another uniform, or if they're an overhyped fool's gold C.

he hasnt done anything really, except compete in a dunk contest, to even be an average starter. yet many in the fan base here think he will be a great player and wouldnt trade him for anything other than a star.

reminds me a lot of MKG in Charlotte. They have been signing his praise for years and he is still not even an average starting player because of his deficiencies. And he is a hard worker too, get tired of hearing that AG is a hard worker so he will get better. Plenty of former players that were hard workers that just didnt develop those skills

He has shown an awful lot of potential. People tend to forget that he is only 21. He hasn't even grown into his body. He needs to play PF not SF. I can not give up on him yet. Not until he is used the right way.

no we dont. because every time he gets any type of criticism, that is the only defense people have

what other defense would you like. He's 21. That is all that needs to be said. We're crying cause we gave up on Dipo and Tobias and now we want to give up on AG. Not me.

Exactly.

You know who else is 21?

KAT
Jabari
Wiggins
KP
Jokic
Giannis
Myles Turner is 20 and puts up better numbers.

People will eventually run out of the "he's only 21" excuse and realize he's an average skilled player with athleticism. Remember when people thought Gerald Green was going to be the next big thing..lol

they both showed to be above average starters. AG hasnt even shown to be an average starter. Think Charlotte would prefer Lillard, Beal, Barnes over MKG?

At this point I'd agree that Reggie Jackson staying in Detroit is best for business. As for Aaron Gordon, I like the guy, he's got potential to still be pretty good, but he's not going to be our next megastar. Look at Dwight Howard's progression when he was in his career infancy. By year 3 Dwight was a 20/10/3 block guy. Gordon struggles to get double figures on average.

I think we all should look at Gordon as a great athlete who'll improve, but he's not the next Blake Griffin. But he can be a good, solid player for the Magic for many years, but if we can acquire a star by packaging him, we have to consider it.

When Dipo, Tobias, and AG become anything other than serviceable starters, then we can cry. Right now they are extremely average and overrated by most Magic fans.
