Admittedly I am a Homer in saying this, but Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor running behind arguably the best offensive line this year, could crush the season rushing record. If Bucky goes undefeated to the National Championship game, Taylor would play in 15 games. Frankly a 3000 yard season is very obtainable in that. He would this take Barry Sanders' record by some 350 yards.

Of course there would be a HUGE asterisk to the record, given that Sanders did his 2650 in 11 games.

But still one really has to favor Taylor to win the Heisman, if he stays healthy and the Badgers win out.

Looking towards the NFL, I would like to see Taylor do more in the passing game. So far he is exclusively an old school runner. That isn’t the NFL game anymore.

He’s a special runner but will need to add that element to his game to be a special NFL back. I think he can do it. I just don’t think Wisconsin wants to play that brand of football. They are a ground and pound program.

Given Bucky's O-line, "Taylor up the middle for 7 yards" will be a very, very common color-call this year.

Waiting around for the game to be officially cancelled is depressing. :(

Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t book a trip for the game.

I haven't been to a road game outside of Florida since the Liberty Bowl in 2007. I came razor close to booking a trip for this game as it was the only one this year that I might've been able to attend. Hoping to make it to one outside FL next year.

UCf overcoming scedhuling adversity needs some bonus points.
(As does playing 11PM games on Thursday nights).

UCF has a harder traveling schedule than all power-5 teams. They do this to get TV time (thus it is the Knights' fault, so to day).

But this all does have a cost.

Makes sense, because the university is right in the hurricane's path. Florence looks like it will linger for a couple of days.

I love football but it makes no sense for UNC to want to play this game.

UNC roster LINK

A huge proportion of the UNC roster is from North Carolina. And those who aren't, most are from the mid-Atlantic in general.

These 18-22 year olds need time to focus on their families and their homes, not preparing to playing a game.

The forecast models are showing North Carolina being hit for 2 or 3 days. It's going to hit North Carolina and slowing drift along the coast almost to Georgia then come up back over North Carolina again. Hopefully everyone evacuates.

If the schools could arrange a neutral site I would definitely hope they would ask the team if they wanted to play the game or go home to be with family. I would think my family would want me away from the storm, but I guess I could see the argument of being together.

The easy option if they want to play the game is camping world stadium. It’s well outside the storm area and wouldn’t impact hotel space in areas closer since we have plenty of capacity.

It’s unfortunate to cancel a game ... but ... it’s still just a game.

These kids, coaches, staff and fans all have bigger things to focus on this weekend.

Two years in a row games cancelled due to Hurricanes. You'd think it would happen more often, honestly. Still sucks.

I'm hoping UCF is able to schedule a decent opponent to fill the bye week. At least with it being an away game UCF shouldn't feel the need to just throw anyone on the schedule. Would rather play one less than take a SOS hit with a 2nd FCS team on the schedule.

Nebraska?

Big issue to me is the following game is at home against temple on that Thursday night.

Move the temple game to Saturday and it's doable.

Play anyone anywhere, not giving up a thing except the bye week.

Get it done Danny n

And three years in a row that the season was altered: the Oct 15 game against Tulane in 2016 was rescheduled because of Hurricane Matthew.
