Re: Official Speculation Thread '20-'21 VII: Magic Expected To Retain Core
I wouldn't even do Fournier for DeRozan straight up, much less throw in additional assets.
Don't want to add in talented players who could help the team win games the rest of this season.

Maybe if it was DeRozan and a Spurs first for Fournier, maybe then Orlando management does not seal down the phone in disgust.

You had me up till "talented". I really question DeRozan actually being better than Fournier, relative to the salary costs.

I question DeRozan's talent at any cost. he's been a net negative player for a really long time.

I’m surprised I haven’t heard more chatter between the Magic & Wizards. With Beal being fully committed you would think they would be betting on trying to acquire more players. I could see any of either Gordon, Fournier, or even Vuc going there and fitting well. They have some young prospects and will end up with a decent pick atleast this year.
Would be a good team to look at, even as a 3rd team in a trade.

It is rare for divisional opponents to be in a trade; but this is a weird year.

Damn, this sucks.
It also makes it less likely The Magic can afford to hold Fournier and Gordon out tonight.

We cant let them play tonight!! We are trading them aftet all...
Although if both blow up against the Nuggets, they might just pony up more assets lol

Just watch, Evan and AG are gonna get hurt for absolutely no reason before the deadline because God hates us.
