And now they aren’t. They’re paying $19M combined for WCJ and Goga this season. $10.8M for WCJ, and $8.3M for Goga.

You’re complaining about expenses whilst also complaining that they opted out of a 1 year remaining $11M deal for a bench big coming off a busted knee. You realise Mo would’ve been our most expensive big man this season between those 3, right?

Last night, Zach Lowe said the rumor all year was Magic wanted Jerome. Money got tight after the Bane trade. We'll see.

Today, Stein/Fischer link Jerome to LAC, Mem & Cha. Then Clippers are linked to CP3. Cha trades for Sexton, and i don't buy Mem chatter because they have Pippen Jr + want cap space for JJJ renegotiate & extend.

I think we have a chance at Jerome now.

Jerome had a truly spectacular regular season for the Cavs.

12.5 PPG on a .643 TS% with a 2.6 to 1 AST/TO ratio. Graded out positively on defense too.

But then he laid one of the biggest eggs of all time in the Cavs/Pacers series, shooting just 30% from the floor and 25% from three, including a ghastly 1/14 performance in a game the Cavs lost by 1 point.

I wouldnt take Jerome just based on that argument with Paolo. I know players trash talk all the time but pass.

So he had a Franz game 7 moment?

Honestly, I much rather have Jerome to NAW.

For me it’s not the argument as much as his play after Paolo put him in his place, he pretty much got locked up on one end and hunted on the other until the Cavs coach sat and kept him on the bench the rest of the game.

This is probably the correct course of action.

I just rewatched their argument and there was nothing friendly competitive banter about that.

However, apparently Westbrook and Aaron Gordon didn’t like each other and got into it a lot when they played one another and one time actually had to be broken up. Now they’re literal best friends on/off court.

Resign Moritz Wagner to a 2 year deal for less AAV than the $11M he was going to make.

Resign Caleb Houstan to a 2 year deal for slightly more AAV than the $2.2M he was going to make.

G: Suggs, Jones, Richardson
G: Bane, Black, Howard
F: F. Wagner, Houstan/TDS (whichever order you prefer)
F: Banchero, Isaac, Penda
C: Carter, Bitadze, M. Wagner

This is both my preferred, and mostly likely outcome.

Why exactly do you guys want Ty Jerome? If the Cavs fans are disappointed in his playoffs games, what exactly is going to be different with us?

It was 2 bad games.

He'd be a huge help for the season. If he sucks in the playoffs, we just dont play him and shrink the rotation.

He had two awful games in the playoffs. First round he shot 50/50/80.

It's the equivalent of judging Franz on his 1-14 closer game.

I didn’t watch the series. Just wondering why he is wanted by this team. The way the *Cavs team talk about it it seemed like it was a bad playoff.

Players comparison based on last playoff experience

Player A - 9 games
11,7 ppg
3,6 apg (1,2 TO)
40% FG
39% for 3

vs

Player B - 15 games
8,3 ppg
2,3 apg (1,5 TO)
39% FG
35% for 3

Player C - 6 games
4,5 ppg
3,7 apg ( 1,3 TO)
30% FG
16% for 3

Every comment here tells you that Jerome sucked in playoff. Let's play a game. Can you name who is among this players Jerome, who is NAW and who is Tyus Jones.

Spoiler:
Player A- Jerome, Player B - Naw, Player C -Jones

Why Magic or/and Magic fans even want NAW? He is just yet another version of Anthony Black.

Yeah they were just particularly bad which is why fans overreact. If you saw the Magic reddit for the Franz game/contract we paid him you would think he was some 5th string scrub haha

We can’t sign Jerome or NAW.

It’s Tyus or his brother…

Maybe Gary Trent? Exum?

This probably the last FA we sign over the next couple of years. No 1st next year. Basically this is our team.

We can still make trades but there will be restrictions.

Trent is more than a solid scoring punch off bench. Guy averaged near 20 ppg in playoffs, ( don't re watch last plays  )

I was never fan of Jones brothers, they are basketball midgets without much explosiveness, one gets exposed in playoffs, other never played playoffs.

Stein:

It is believed Orlando's Sunday business — declining the $11 million team option for Moe Wagner along with the $2.1 million team option for Caleb Houstan — represents two steps toward creating the financial wiggle room needed to finally land Tyus Jones in the Magic Kingdom after the veteran point guard has been linked to them for years.

Also says:
Memphis - Jerome
Hawks - NAW
Pistons - LaVert & Duncan Robinson
