For those of you still trying to blow smoke up the ass of the realistic Magic fans that realize we do not have a shot anymore get over this. " I am dissapointed in you Magic fans" crap. This is not the Pollyanna or fantasy forum this is a Magic forum. We have a right to be depressed and to feel like we do not have a chance. Because IT IS TRUE.

Without CP3 or another top end player we are going to get killed in a playoff series against them. So will everyone else not named the Lakers. Truth is truth no amount of homerism will change that.

I'm not trying to blow smoke up your ass or call you out for being pessimistic, you have every right to do so.

I'm saying if any team in the East has a chance to beat Miami, its us. I like our team. There's something to be said for consistency.

it'll be hilarious if the heat don't even make the playoffs, which is very possible.... even one of those guys go down for extended time and they're f**d

But, it is a stars league. Superstars win titles and Miami has 2 and a half.

Umm, Wade + scrubs can make the playoffs. Bosh + scrubs can make the playoffs. LeBron + scrubs can make it to the ECF.

Something doesn't add up.

He'll continue to reach the ECF only to be bounced by the Heat. And if that goes on a 'rinse, repeat' cycle, I assure you that he'll be looking to find a new home come 2012.

Now is the time. It's do or die.

ya umm when Deezy posts this...WOW

You're one of the most calm/logical posters around here...and now I'm officially scared...

D12 will be fouled out by halftime vs Heat

:(

Well, I try to be as optimistic as I possibly can, but at the end of the day you have to accept reality. Unfortunately for us (as well as the rest of the NBA), arguably the two best players in the game have joined forces and brought along one of the best PF's to be their sidekick. Considering all of these guys are in their primes and assuming good health, there's really no sense in having the playoffs.

Unless Otis pulls a miracle out of his hat and brings in Chris Paul (+), I don't think we even have a shot at keeping the games close, let alone the series. Ditto for the Lakers.

Unfortunately - you're right - Otis please hear this!!

seriously... wade just made it in as what? a 5th or 6th seed by himself?? even if lebron or bosh goes down... which has happened how many times in their careers? they will still make the playoffs..

some of you are delusional... some are accepting the truth... its almost better for ALL TEAMS to just say F it, and start rebuilding for the next few years

I get what you're saying, but Miami will be lucky to sign players as good as Mo Williams, Varajao, Calderon, Bargnani, etc, for the minimum.

(They will be able to sign players who were better than Wade's cast)

If I know nothing about basketball then neither does SVG because he is saying the same thing I am.

Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy labeled the Miami Heat the "favorite" to win the 2010-11 Eastern Conference championship minutes after LeBron James announced that he will join the Miami Heat and play alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

"I think that certainly on paper they have to be the favorite," Van Gundy said after he was reached by phone Thursday night. "You can talk about needing time and the whole thing. But face it, Boston did it in the first year with the three guys [Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce] together. As good as those guys are, they were a little bit older at the time.

"You've got three guys right in their prime. You have to make them the favorites in the East on paper. Then, Los Angeles, as the two-time defending champions, you can't write them off."
Magic fan since Inaugural 89 season.

This is seriously an emergency. No one could really see this coming. Otis has to be **** himself right now, and if I hear him say he likes this team tommorow I want his head on a stake.
