I think Fran is looking for big money whether it's in the NBA or Euroleague:

I say package him along with JJ Redick/2013 1st round pick to Minny for Derrick Williams (they need a veteran SG and Fran is an athletic C they need to run with Rubio).

True. And he may not take his desired package in Europe this year. Main markets investing on european basketball, Spain, Italy and Greece are in crisis. Good time for him to try his chance in USA.

I'd prefer to send Jrich instead of JJ.

Hopefully a strong playoff series can bump up JRich's value.

JRich has the contract we want out of. We can get out of JJ's this summer or next. JRich's has to go.

Trade JRich for Darko, Darko is non garanteed for the 2013 season. Our main goal should be obtaining mega cap space for that summer.

gp123 wrote:Just curious -- for those of you who have followed this guy, is Anthony Davis really worth the hype?

I've read comparisons that he is essentially a thin/weaker howard plus a jumpshot. Outside of the jumpshot part, that to me sounds closer to a 'smarter Earl Clark' then to a Dwight Howard?

If he starts for an NBA team, is it because he's that good, or because there just aren't any good centers?

And that's one hell of a uni-brow he's got.

He's worth the hype. I think his game is closer to KG than Dwight tho. Doesn't really play anything like Dwight aside from the fact that he's athletic and good at defense.

I don't consider those guys anymore than rotational players, at best. Maybe one or two can become a starter, that's it. We don't really have any young players that we can look forward to. A Damn shame, but that's what happens when otis smith is the GM.

Why? Rookie scale doesnt work for him anymore. Look at Tiago Splitter, he signed 10mi/3years contract and he was drafted at #28 in 2007.

MagicalNBA ‏ @MagicalNBA
Steve Nash and Gerald Wallace. 2 Top targets for the Magic's current regime. Wroten is draft target.

Wroten is NOT good. No idea why so many people here have a hard one for this dude. The guy is a scoring PG that cant score effectively or efficiently even in college. He cannot make shots from ANYWHERE but completely dominates the ball. The guy just cannot makes shots, PERIOD...not from the paint, not at mid range, not from even the NCAA 3Pt, not even at the FT line (and he gets there a lot), can't go or finish going right either.

His teamate Terrence Ross is better then him too.

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

Think poor man's Tyreke Evans. Moe Harkless is a guy that I think makes some sense for us.
